Publisher's Summary

The epic conclusion to the long-awaited trilogy featuring one of the most beloved characters in all of fantasy - Drizzt Do'Urden - a rollicking tale of life, death, intrigue, magic, danger, and the timeless bonds of family and friendship from New York Times best-selling author R. A. Salvatore.

Displaced in time and unexpectedly reunited with his son, Drizzt Do'Urden, Zaknafein has overcome the prejudices ingrained in him as a drow warrior to help his son battle the ambitious Spider Queen and stem the tide of darkness that has been unleashed upon the Forgotten Realms. Though Zaknafein has endured the most difficult battles, survival has come at a terrible cost, and the fight is far from over.

Facing demons and driders, Zaknafein carries the entire weight of Menzoberranzan surrounding Gauntlgym on his shoulders once more. But the chances of survival for him and his old friend and mercenary Jarlaxle look bleak. Trapped in a desperate and seemingly hopeless situation, the legendary warriors must reach deep inside themselves to face the impossible.

While the burdens Zaknafein bears are more than enough for one of Menzoberrazan’s greatest warriors, fate holds further challenges. When circumstances take an unexpected turn, Zaknafein discovers he must not only conquer the darkness, but learn to accept the uncontrollable: life itself.

The stakes have never been higher for R. A. Salvatore’s most beloved creations in this final volume of his latest best-selling trilogy begun with Timeless and Boundless. A story of brave heroes filled with dangerous thrills, Relentless also considers eternal questions about morality, purpose, sacrifice, and the definition of harmony. Exciting, imaginative, and thought-provoking, it takes fans on an action-packed ride that will challenge their assumptions and leave them breathless and satisfied.

Mediocre Story

I’ve had a love and dislike for this series, over the last few years, dislike sadly has won out. I believe this book does not provoke dislike per se, nor does it elicit a feeling of joy after listening to Mr. Salvatore’s story. I would say that I have a neutral inclination towards this story. So with that said, I would tell the listener if they are considering purchasing this book, you certainly, in my opinion, won’t feel the same joy you felt when you bought the book “Homeland,” which is also written by R.A. Salvatore. Lastly, if this is the last story written by Mr. Salvatore in regards to Drizzt’s character, then perhaps it’s time for this character’s story to end.☹😭🤢🤮

Great, of course.

Another great chapter for the journey of Drizzt. The plot of this book does an incredible job of reaching through the whole series and tying things together. Can't wait for more, now.

The perfect ending.

An amazing conclusion to, in my opinion, Salvatore's best trilogy yet. A very light on Drizzt content in this one for reasons, that if you read boundless, you understand. An amazing ending that not only wraps up this 30-year Saga nicely but cycles back to the original novel that started it all. not only is it a worthy conclusion to the story but it also leaves it open for more by completely reshaping the world of the Forgotten Realms.

A Great finish!

This book shows just how strong and independent the other characters in a Drizzt novel are. Each has a chance to shine, expand, and at times even expound. Bravo!

Relentless

R.A. Salvatore does it again and weaves a beautiful story. Giving highlights from the past. teasing you with so much history. While giving you hope for the future. The book should be named, "Legend of Drizzt: End Game".

The best one yet

You could never have convinced me that we would have ended up here. I am shocked, amazed, and filled with wonder. These novels have done nothing but get better over time. 10/10 will read again.

The culmination of the paths of the companions of the hall and their friends.

Salvatore has done it again! Taking us back in time and filled in a lot of blanks. This culmination of the paths taken is very unexpected and so bittersweet! To the author, my thanks for the journey that you shared with us.
