For Noah Vines, death isn't the end. It's a weapon.

After standing around in the afterlife for thousands of years, Noah is all out of patience. When the opportunity to steal a second chance at living arises, he doesn’t hesitate.

Reincarnated into the body of a dying magic school professor, Noah finds that he took more than just a second chance. He got infinite. Every time he dies, his body reforms.

Lives are a currency, and Noah Vines is rich.

With countless variations of runic magic to discover and with death serving as only a painful soul-wound rather than a final end, Noah finally has a chance to wander the lands of the living once more.

This time around, he plans to get strong enough to make sure that he never has to wait around in the afterlife again.

Don't miss the next hit Progression Fantasy series from Actus, bestselling author of My Best Friend is an Eldritch Horror. Featuring a strong, intelligent protagonist, a detailed runic magic system, loads of power progression, and so much more.

With nearly 10 million views as a webserial, you can experience the definitive version of this smash-hit series on Kindle, Kindle Unlimited, and Audible!

Liked it more then some of this authors other works. I like the teaching aspects more than the battles. Well done and well narrated, though like this authors other works I’ve read doesn’t have the strongest hooks. I’m going to read the following book though so take this as a tentative recommendation.

Side note the cover of the book isn’t great. A little too anime, although maybe that was the goal but kept me from reading it.

It’s good

Just finished book 4 and I am enjoying it less and less. The story itself is very average, really leans into the professor trope so I went into this thinking the protag was going to be some kind of intense professor but it turn out he was a music teacher which honestly isn't bad, just wasn't what I was expecting.

Really don't enjoy how formations just happen to be based on music (patterns technically) which just happens to be something the protag loves and is good at.

lastly, every relationship starts out as if they are in grade 4, barely holding hands and acting like they are making a huge step.

All in all this is what I would consider to be a pre-teen book in the power fantasy genre.

Very very average, and getting niche.

Ok, I liked his Eldritch Horror stuff. I really liked the concept of the cooking stuff. But THIS?? Oh yeah, this is the good stuff. It’s an isekai where the MC isn’t a complete moron AND he doesn’t just knowwww everything. He’s in a sticky situation and has to stop making it worse. He doesn’t just make bread and the entire world falls over itself to eat it and then he becomes king because nobody else knows the secret recipe.

Magic system is based on runes, but how you gather power is pretty open ended, which I love. Can’t wait for more.

Actus!!! You absolute genius.

ATENTION: There is a repeating sequence around chapter 4. Once it starts it can be skipped by simply going to the next chapter.
This is the ONLY editing error in the book and while it's pretty blatant, its not a deal breaker like some knobbs want you to believe.

The strong points being the magic system and idle banter between characters. The weak points definitely being the world building and a rather bland MC.

I personally think this is the authors best work yet. So if you enjoyed his other stuff youd like this as well.I didnt regret the credit.

A strong start
