Story
It is an age of exploration. Jedi travel the galaxy, expanding their understanding of the Force and all the worlds and beings connected by it. Meanwhile, the Republic, led by its two chancellors, works to unite worlds in an ever-growing community among near and distant stars. On the close-orbiting planets of Eiram and E’ronoh, the growing pains of a galaxy with limited resources but unlimited ambition are felt keenly. The two worlds’ hatred for each other has fueled half a decade of escalating conflict and now threatens to consume surrounding systems.

On the planet Tython, the ancient Je’daii order was founded. And at the feet of its wise Masters, Lanoree Brock learned the mysteries and methods of the Force - and found her calling as one of its most powerful disciples. For the handful of scattered Jedi, survival is imperative if the light side of the Force is to be protected and the galaxy somehow, someday reclaimed. Yet more important still is the well-being of the twin infants, Leia and Luke Skywalker, the children of Anakin and his doomed bride, Padme Amidala. Separated after Padme's death, they must be made safe at all costs, lest the hope they represent for the future be turned to horror by the new Sith regime, and the unspeakable power of the dark side.

Publisher's Summary
BEING A TEENAGER IS HARD ENOUGH WITHOUT ALSO TRAINING TO BE A JEDI….
Obi-Wan Kenobi has not been apprenticed long to Qui-Gon Jinn, and he is chafing at Qui-Gon's training style: all meditation, no action. Obi-Wan yearns to prove himself on a mission, but when he and Qui-Gon are finally set to leave on an assignment, Qui-Gon is nowhere to be found. Angered by his master's abandonment, Obi-Wan sets out on the mission alone, determined to prove himself.
On a mysterious planet he encounters a pack of feral, Force-wielding teens who seem to be the planet's only inhabitants. As he experiences wild freedom with them and wonders if this isn't the life he was meant for, Obi-Wan can't escape the nagging sense that something is wrong with the Force there. Growing attachments, startling revelations, and a looming threat to both the planet and his new friends will bring Obi-Wan face-to-face with his worst fear: that maybe he was never supposed to be a Jedi at all.
Can he connect with the living Force in time to save himself and everyone around him?
It's the star of the Obi-Wan Kenobi Disney+ limited series as you've never seen him before….

Beautiful Story
Not only did I truly love the story, the subtle queer representation made me very happy! The relationships they build and Obi-Wans growth in the book was admirable, I will surely listen to this again.

Possibly the worst of the new canon
Unbelievably bad. Starts out great but as soon as Obi wan reaches the planet it tanks hard. No relevant character arc, bland side characters that do not contribute anything meaningful or thematic to the overall story. Very unfocused thematically too. The story cannot decide on a character arc for Kenobi so they give him 3 half baked ones. Narration was fine but not up to the standard of the other books. Very disappointed

It’s ok
If you are an Obi Wan fan, you should probably listen to this audiobook. It’s not bad it’s just not that great either. The story is very predictable and first half - 3/4 of the book is boring but…. We do get a little more insight on Obi Wans development as a Jedi so I suppose it’s worth a listen.

Obviously a YA novel but still good
There were a few corny and cliche moments, but it's important to remember that this book was written for 11-18y/os. I think the fact that I, a grown man, was entertained despite those corny moments speaks to this book's strengths.
It definitely reminded me a lot of high school. It was also really nice to see where obi-wan met a certain character for the first time. And the book tidied up at the end to close off any questions about why certain things never appear in the lore again.

very neat.
I really enjoyed this one. I've listened to a few of the Legends audiobooks now (Darth Plageus, Shatterpoint), and this one held up nicely. Giving you some insight into the self-doubt and anxiety that a young Obi-wan encountered as a padwan. there was a *little* discrepancy between some dates between this book and, say, Darth Plageus (when Dooku leaves the Jedi Order), but it wasn't a huge downside - just another one of those moments when I got to say "Hey, this non-canonical fanfic doesn't perfectly match that other non-canonical fanfic I read!"
all in all, fun story worth the listen.

Super fun!
Wow I really loved this audio book. Narrator Gary Furlong does such an incredible job telling the story. Not only does his voice sound like a young Ewan McGregor, but his voice acting throughout the story was engaging and fun. The use of music and sound effects also make the story so much more immersive. I didn’t want it to end!
