marc thompson does it again with this exciting read of a new timothy zahn adventure with fan favorite character THRAWN. exploring his origins and youth gave interesting and fascinating incite into the charasmatic and brilliant commander. easily 10/10 can't wait for more

Performance was a bit hammy. Sometimes hard to distinguish between prose and dialogue. Real Star Wars music was cool.

It is a confusing listen. Had to watch a review after 1st go through and then relisten to fully understand. As a villain in Rebels, I respect him. In his own world, I love him. He's the "villain" you love to hate but the hero of the Chiss Ascendancy nonetheless

Love Thrawn

I like to compare his this, and his recent Thrawn books, to the one he dropped in 2017 - 'Thrawn' , and his originally Thrawn trilogy. This book, (and the last couple ones) just didn't stand up to those one's. I was really hoping for great things with this book, but I struggled to finish it.

Title says it all, having developed Thrawn in the first 3, I’m now more invested in him and the Chiss and loved learning more. Wish they drew the last few chapters out a bit more, but can’t wait for the the next one. Great voice performance as always.

I’m enjoying the backstory of Thrawn (love that he is a bit of an oddball who evolves into such a powerful character) but am really revelling in the unique Chiss Ascendancy structure. I hope the next two books provide more of the history of the civilization.
Again, I cannot say enough good things about Marc Thompson’s performance. Bravo!
