solid listening while driving. Not a super complex or stunning plot, but fun enough to make my commutes much better.

Solid production, good enough story

First of all, this is not really a LitRPG, it's more of a "LitFPS". The MC gets a store front that can give her equipments such as guns, armor, medpacks etc, but she doesn't get stronger without all her gear. There is also a personal AI shopping assitant who pretty much makes all the decisions - it's like MC is running on auto-pilot for the whole book.
Normally I wouldn't have bothered with this type of story, but the various characters (specifically their banters) are so fun that it covers up all the faults of the book.

This story is an absolute delight. Narrators are top notch. The writing is great, the humour is fantastic.
My only very minor gripe is how numerous and often the point readouts happen when purchasing / obtaining points.

I read a lot, that's for sure, but I don't really listen to audiobooks much. I've been wanting to get into it because well, I'm a busy guy now, and I like listening to stuff while I do stuff. This was my second choice after realizing that if I'm listening to something I've already read a couple times it's gotta be something that is capable of being enjoyable if you want to listen/read it again.

This series is one of those, and I find myself reading it all the time even after I finish it. The audiobook version doesn't disappoint either, and in fact brings a bit of life to it. Would very much recommend, and can't wait for the next audiobook/volume.

just a really good time overall. funny, silly, weird, and unique take on progression fantasy. setting was good, characters were fun, standard cyberpunk nihilism, silly pokes at politicians and corporations.

I think I'm just not a fan of the LIT RPG. The main characters are always Mary Sue, never face any real challenges
