Author wastes hours proving his points.
This book has very good concepts, but the repetitive examples used to prove his points become tiresome and annoying. This book could have been half the length. I found myself saying constantly, "Okay, I get your point, move on!" Perhaps investors make common mistakes with their money, but smart investors make the most of their time. So be a smart investor and find a 30 min book summary and skip the book.

Great education on real investing strategy
This book is very sobering for those trying to out smart the markets and trumps all others books I've read on investing.

Got one big lesson from this one
Don't time the market and, when you have money to invest, just invest it all right away and then forget about it. Then hold on for a long time. The advice, backed by some statistics, was helpful to me. Geared towards the index investor not anyone actively selecting stocks but still worth the time invested I thought.

very informative on a novice's level
I loved it! There was a lot of information that challenged me to understand but that's exactly what I wanted. The author was extremely knowledgeable. I wouldn't mind reading again. There's a lot of strategy that I can apply today.
