Thousands of years ago, militants who were against integrating with human society stole a spaceship called The Illuminati, in the hopes that they could overthrow the Newtonian government.
When things didn’t go as planned, they landed the ship on Earth and put themselves in stasis until technology could catchup. Fast forward to present day, and the Illuminati is a super-secret society with two primary goals: Take over the world, and take back Atlantis. And Kirk would rather die than let that happen.
