His powerful philosophy can help anyone excel at all aspects of life. Using the dramatic competition between the top contenders at the 2016 Reebok CrossFit Games® as a background, Ben explores the step-by-step process of achieving excellence and the unique set of positive character traits necessary for leveling up to world-class. The mindset and methodology that have produced some of the greatest athletes in the world's most grueling sport can work equally well for golfers, lawyers, artists, entrepreneurs - anyone who's willing to commit totally to becoming better than the best.

Sophisticated beyond the Spaniards' wildest imaginings, these people were the Aztecs, the Maya, and related cultures that shared common traditions of religion, government, the arts, engineering, and trade. In many ways more advanced than European nations, these societies equaled the world's greatest civilizations of their time.

Best. Book. EVER. However . . .
I absolutely LOVE this book. I've been recommending it to everyone. I would've loved it even more if it came with a supplementary PDF. There's so much great information that I found myself taking a lot of notes. Therein lies the dilemma. After finishing the book I ended up buying the electronic version so I could have it for reference material. I'm also listening a second time because there's so much valuable information and I want to absorb it ALL! This book should be required reading for everyone. It can change your life!! #Audible1

Encouraging and Useful Information
I really enjoyed this audio version of the book. Good narration, Buettner summarizes a bit of the information from the Blue Zones book regarding nutrition, then presents different paths of happiness - Pleasure, Purpose and Pride. He goes to several different regions including Denmark, Singapore and Costa Rica. It was a good read overall, enjoyable. One thing is the Happiness Test in the beginning - it's pretty tough to do the multiple choice quiz via audio. I would have like a pdf companion.

Missing PDF
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
Yes. Its a good reminder for personal actions towards happiness.
Would you listen to another book narrated by Patrick Lawlor and Dan Buettner ?
Depends on topic
If this book were a movie would you go see it?
No
Any additional comments?
The narrator describes exercises readers as supposed to complete. There's no pdf with the audio book. I'm just at the beginning but the narrator stated results from these exercises would be used later in the book. I'll take from the book what I can but a bit annoyed because I'm not getting the full experience.

This book made me unhappy
I looked forward to reading this book but now I'm returning it. Seems the focus is to be a socialist or communist folk hippy. Correlation doesn't equal causation and there's a lot of it. this book is full of cherry-picking data. Listen to how the transgender prostitute is happy. how we should ride bikes to stop climate change etc. the book is full of propaganda of things almost totally unrelated to happiness. Funny in Denmark he notes the higher taxes but just glanced over that fact but in hard-working Singapore, he goes on about how they work too hard. suggests working we less that 37 hours a week with 6 weeks of vacation etc. Sure, I guess we would all be happy if we quit work and lived in a socialist handout government. He forgot about how unhappy people are when those governments fail and people are left starving and sick.

The author made some good points... but overall the book kept repeating itself and seemed like a pitch for socialism. In a nutshell we shouldn’t work very hard, ride bikes, and everything should be free.
