Very negative and pessimistic approach to becoming a stepmother

I found the premise and approach of this book to position women in an already perceived struggle. I am seeking resources that will empower and provide insights into healthy approaches towards becoming a step-mother. This reading’s narrative on how women are and should be, put a bitter taste in my mouth and was quite unnerving.

If you want to exit empowered as a stepmother, please seek other sources. Perhaps self-help sources on relationship styles and languages to be the best you, providing yourself tools to move through don’t situation, including being a stepmother.

This book is deflating. I do not recommend it.
