À propos de cet audio
The lone survivor of a zombie apocalypse makes a chilling discovery in an abandoned hospital in this short story in the Mountain Man universe.

A survivor of undead suburbia, mountain man Augustus “Gus” Berry is extremely careful when it comes to his actions and movements. He takes no chances and painstakingly weighs every decision—until he sets out for the hospital at the edge of town, hoping to discover a treasure trove of essential supplies. Soon, Gus will experience terror the likes of which he's never encountered before . . .
Short but entertaining

The Mountain is not a hero, just surviving barely

The awesome narrator, who is now added to my short list of favorites, perfectly captures the tone of the work. The work, while adding nothing unique to the genre, is wonderfully written. Looked it up and turns out this is a prequel to a whole series by the same author and narrator.
On my wish list for sure!
Absolutely Wonderful

The most notable uniquity is that Gus, the main character, seems like a pretty common guy...fat, alcoholic. He is in real danger throughout, unlike a lot of seemingly superhuman protagonists or antiheroes in these tales.
Keith C Blackmore's writing is good, not fantastic, and he seems a bit preoccupied with shit. Besides his scatological focus, he recognizes that the whole zombie thing is a bit silly. Zombie babies? Gnawing on you with little toothless maws...sweet.
Gus does what I often do. Imagine it were real. Gus thinks about movies he's seen and thinks about what he would do if he were in that situation. As Blackmore puts it, learning how to NOT do as the idiots in those stories do...making mistakes and dying. To me, that lends a real sense of realism to what, honestly, is a pretty ludicrous situation.
Bray does a good job reading, if going a little overboard. But nobody really "speaks" in this sample. Gus is ALONE. I wonder how R.C. Bray will handle dialogue.
In a lot of zombie stories, I expect a policeman to break in and stop the fun, like a Monty Python sketch. This one still has that feel...:"Stop that! Stop that! Too silly!!", but I find myself not wanting Graham Chapman to burst in.
I will invest in reading this series , I figure. Based on this sample, it should be fun
Creepy and Suspenseful
