Charles Alexander Eastman (1858-1939), an educated and well-known Sioux, saw both sides of the great divide between Indians and whites, and he wrote 11 books attempting to reconcile the two cultures. Seems to be coming from a man who has insecurities

I wanted to like this book, I really did but the amount of times the author makes a comparison between Western and native American cultures a massive bias shows. Not to show the extent of the native American culture, but an effort to "shoot back" at the more dominant Western culture.
