Not as inspirational as I had hoped
Very repetitive for me, not sure what I was expecting but book really only just felt like a ad for something else. Not much depth to it so it felt like a infomercial, I know Wim must be a extremely deep man from the passionate way he lives his life, but I did not feel a connection to him from this book. Still interested in learning more about his method just didn’t find what I had hoped from the book.

I am a firm believer in Wim Hof and his method. the book falls very flat and short of expectation. the narrator tries to make everything sound so intense that it is exhausting to listen to. bad book, legendary man.

Honnest evaluation
Before listening to the book, I took a look at this comment section, I wasnt sure if it was a good book.
After it, what I can tell is :
Narration is close to perfect, the intensity is right on spot, it help me doesnt get distract.
There is a bit of repetition but not that much.
The content of the book is really great. I knew Him a little before this book and I wanted to know more, know more about the point of view of the science, and I've been serve.

Inspiring and Motivating
This is a wonderful and easy listen that explains where he came from and everything along the way. I have been interested in the Wim Hof Method for a while now, and this only opened up my curiosity even more. Have just recently started doing the breathing technique and will be adding in the cold showers next! If you're on the fence about this book, get it! You won't regret it!

Apollo Anton Ohno, just NO!
Where do I begin? 1) Apollo, please never narrate again. You sound like a dad trying too hard to make a bedtime story entertaining with your excessive intonations. You make it very difficult to listen. 2) It’s incredible repetitive. The whole book could of been cut down to half. To the bright editor who decided to keep the rambling going, kudos to bringing on a snooze fest. 3) The forward button will be your best friend.

book is great, narrator could be better
I found it really intense and not at all a chill relaxing vibe that I get from wim. I understand no one is Wim, but the narrator could tone it down a bit, slow down the pace of his reading, especially when rhyming off the instructions. I felt stressed or anxious while listening. I will read it in its paper form perhaps. to experience it at my own pace.

Outstanding book
This book I have been waiting for. I started practicing the WHM in July of this year 2020. At 58 years old I was looking for a way to get both mentally and physically fit. The WHM has helped me become more relaxed, and more focused. The method of breath work, cold showers and mindset are simply stated FABULOUS!! I have lost 23 pounds and have not missed a day of doing this since i started. I am currently in the second week of the ten week video course. The book helps explain the methods and the research and science that backs it. I git the book today and finished it today. I am sure it will be a resource I will go to often as I continue on this journey to better health and performance.

Disappointing
I had high hopes for this book, but the narrator was annoying in his delivery and the content was a letdown. Throughout the book Hoff asserts that his method is scientific and not some spiritual mumbo-jumbo, but he spends more time waxing eloquent about the “third eye” and “corona of light” than he does actually sharing his method. From what is written here, one assumes that the entirety of his method can be contained in one page.

The Cold, The breath, commitment ... wow
Cold, breath and commitment has extremely changed my lifestyle and I have leveled up tremendously in all areas of my life. I don’t need energy drinks anymore and i don’t need to layer up when it’s cold. Such a life changing book and I will be doing it for the rest of my life. Thank you Wim for this.

Not what I expected.
The method seems great so I am going to give it a try but the book was disappointing. It was way too wordy and it seemed to go in circles at times with no real direction. I purchased the audio book hoping he would lead us in some breathing sessions but I ended up feeling disappointed. He spent a lot of time talking about his self and his life. There were testimonials on how his method has changed people's lifes. The book isn't organized so it makes it difficult to follow along at times. I wish he would have spent more time talking about his method and less time talking his life story.

Just try it
I’ve been doing WHM regularly for 9 months. It has made a huge impact for me. I recommend his breathwork to everyone. I hope you read this and commit to at least the breathing. Try 10 days straight first and see how you feel. Enjoy!

Could've been five minutes
The advice and methods are sound but most of this book is fluff. Here you go: (1) take cold showers. (2) before eating in the morning, do three rounds of the following: 30-40x deep breaths followed by holding the breath out after fully exhaling for as long as reasonably comfortable, then take a deep breath in and hold for as long as reasonably comfortable. (3) mind > matter. There you go. Saved you a few hours. I tried this and the benefits do seem significant. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with the methods. It just didn't need a whole book to explain.
