Absolute gem of a book

Yet again, Dan Abnett proved his mastery if literature and of the lore of Warhammer.
Intrigues, action, suffering, this book is a masterpiece of the genre.

Wasn’t a Titan fan, now I am.

First, narrator does a fantastic job at expressing the tension between characters - yes! Even tho most are Cyborgs.

Second - the multiple story lines all have there climatic moments with out overlapping to much. The side story of the troopers - just super well written.

Thirdly - I have bought and am painting Titan models because of this book.

The negatives - it’s hard to imagine the different titan patterns if you haven’t googled what the patterns are. Half way through I googled this and I would recommend doing a little research into the different patterns of titans because they are listed often.

Dan Abnett and Toby Longworth strike again

Warhammer 40ks dynamic duo. Dan takes us back to the Sabbat Worlds. We might as well call it the Abnett crusade by now. However now we get to ride a God Engine while the cog boys are having an existential crisis. All of that wrapped up in Toby's standard excellent performance.

Abnett is so good with this stuff

The story is on par with His other work and the performance is great except where there are weird obviously inserted lines with a different tone or inflection. It's a quibble.

That said the performance stands out as Longworth is good at being able to give each character a voice and cadence to help keep them straight.

If 40K is your jam you can't go wrong with this one

Utterly Enjoyed it

Toby Longworth, as always delivers an incredible performance voicing characters and narrating the story. The tale itself was engaging enough that I would find excuses to plug in and listen to it. The only thing keeping this from being truly amazing would be added sound effects but regardless, a great story with expert narration.

TITANS!

Great one off story by Abnett, loved it. Lots of dramatic giant robot violence punctuated by quiet moments of human vulnerability and fear.

Par for the course : Abnett doesn't hold back in showing the very human cost of war or the lives mutilated by its passing.

Excellent book

The story over all really captures the relationship between the imperium and the mechanicus.

The attention to details the Dan Abnett really gives you the scope and size of the titans

I play the table top game and will likely start a titan army after listening to this book.

And the narration from Toby Longworth who does many narrations for Dan Abnett is always on point every time we’ll done Sir.

Praise be the Omnissiah

Good subplots.

A very solid story considering it's basically about giant fighting robots. Intrigue and the view from the ground too.

enjoyable

I liked it, I found the narrators way of reading sentences off-putting at first. Hard to describe but I'd almost say it was purposefully mechanical now having finished the book. The voices were great.
