Publisher's Summary

So you may ask, who is Adam Connor? He is the recently divorced, Academy Award-winning actor who just moved in next door with his kid. He also happens to be an exquisite male specimen and the most infuriating sly bastard I've ever come across.

While I was being thoughtful by not breaking and entering, and was actually considering going over to offer him a shoulder to cry on (you know, because of his divorce), instead he had me thrown in jail after a small incident. Jail, people! He was supposed to grant me countless orgasms as a thank you, not a jail cell.

After that day, I was mentally plotting ways to strangle him. So what if my body did more than just shiver when he whispered dirty little things in my ear? I can't be held responsible for that.

Even if he and his son were the best things since sliced bread, I couldn't fall for him. No matter what promises he whispered on my skin, my curse wouldn't let us be. I wasn't a damsel in distress - I could save myself, thank you very much - but deep inside, I still hoped Adam Connor would be the hero of my story.

What the critics say

"There really aren't enough words in the dictionary to describe the millions of ways I loved this book. To Love Jason Thorn made me a huge fan of Ella Maise's writing but To Hate Adam Connor may have just made me her book stalker!" (Read. Love. Review.)

Belly laughs and heartfelt passion

The characters are fleshed out and feel real, Olive and Lucy's relationship is so similar to my sister and mine that I couldn't help but squeal with laughter at their shenanigans. Meanwhile I feel the sudden urge to go around introducing myself to all my neighbours in hopes of finding a guy like Adam. I will definitely be rereading this one sooner than later!

Hard To Put Down!

Sooo good! I typically get bored when books are this long, but I've got 2hrs left in the book and I still can't put it down. The main character Lucy, is very funny and I love her inner dialogue and strong willed personality. The main male lead, Adam, is a sexy devoted father and damn is he steamy and knows good and well how to use his words in the heat of passion!

The narrators are awesome, Lidia Dornet is perfect for the Lucy character and Sebastion York is delicious, as always. My only one little complaint (as it is with many dual pov books), is that we don't hear from Adam nearly as much as we hear from Lucy. Otherwise, I love everything about this book, Ms. Maises writing is excellent and I will definitely be checking out more of her books!

It was a good read!not great but good!

Lucy was really annoying and insufferable at first but you get to really like her character. Adam was over confident he’d have her, kind of cocky won’t lie. But all in all it was a good read. Aiden was my fave haha. And yet again the narrators were brilliant ❤️ (5stars)

off-putting

Don't know if I'll be able to finish this one. I enjoyed other titles by this author. I think the main female character is cringe. if a male character objectified a woman to her level, and literally watched her from the bushes for weeks, taking pictures of her, he would rightfully be the most shameful disgusting male character ever. but because it's a woman doing it to a man it's suddenly funny and charming? just weird. narrators are talented though.

Impressive..... not really

Not sure why Ella Maise didn't make make this a Duet set of books. While they are standalone, this book is paired with "To Love Jason Thorn"

Lucy is a loud-mouth, abnoxious, insufferable infuriating, not to mention crass and totally CRINGE, with a huge amount of attitude and an aggressive nature! This character is just a poor excuse for all women. I didn't finish the audio book, Lucy's character is disgusting!

Lidia Donet's narration is full mouth of saliva its hard to listen to. Her hard pronunciation of the words are off-putting and so unnatural. Though, Sebastian York is one of my favourite voice actors, he's always a pleasure to listen to.

Ugh

Had to stop 3/4 in..... if I had to hear one more time how she thought he was a bad kisser I was going to throw my phone. Definitely not a good slow burn. I don't think I've ever rolled my eyes and said omg shut up so many times during an audio book in my life. There is flirting and playing hard to get, then there is this garbage. Do not recommend.... boring characters, boring plot.... bored.
