based on reviews, I was hesitant but was good
Listen to the sample and that's what audio is like. it's not that bad!!! I feel like the book offers much information, and that having someone to talk about the book with (like a friend, or a councillor) is advisable.

very helpful unf**kening
This book gets right down to the point and gives helpful advice. I will be relistening to it and try to get more information out of it. I like how it breaks down the science of the brain and explains it at a level anyone can understand. I definitely recommend it to anyone struggling in life. No matter how little or big it is, it's worth working through. Everyone is worth it.

Interesting Information
I had issues with the narration of this book, it sounded like it was recorded in a restroom, also the book repeats itself when she gets onto the vitamin supplements. She already discussed this in a previous chapter. As far as the narration itself, I found the speed of it to be fairly rushed like she wanted to speed read through the whole thing.
Tons of useless verbiage. Outdated lingo, I understand she is trying to connect to everyday people, but in the end sounds unintelligent, I'm not talking about the swearing thats not really my gripe.
Regardless, the information is sound and definitely valid, but it felt as if I was in a preschool class being read to by a teacher of that level.
Maybe next time cut the blue collar talk and just speak in a normal tone, and dont get too political, stick to the facts.

Interesting
The book was interesting, but unfortunately the audio and the background sounds made it hard to actually concentrate on the content of the book. I think reading this book yourself would be a lot better

Hard to listen to
While the content was more or less applicable in my situation, it was quite good.
The main issue I have is the absolutely terrible sound quality and the constant cussing.
I cuss fairly regularly when I speak but this was a bit over the top.

Liked it but…
The recording really sounded like it was done by an amateur.
The sound quality was unprofessional. I wish she invested in professional recording for this book.

Good Advice

The audio quality is awful.
OVERALL RATING WAS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT THIS REVIEW. I HAVE NOT FINISHED THE BOOK.
I haven't listened to the book yet, but the quality is brutal. I'm going to try and get a refund. I've listened to a lot of Audible - and this is the only bad one.

Tries too hard to show she can swear
The content was interesting and I am comfortable with crude delivery but it felt forced. On top of the poor recording mix, very metallic and echoey, the constant swearing felt fake versus swearing for effect. Very distracting.
