À propos de cet audio
The USA TODAY bestselling follow-up to Peyton Corinne’s “unputdownable and unforgettable” (Bal Khabra, author of Collide) TikTok sensation Unsteady follows hopeless romantic Ro and player—on and off the ice—Freddy as they forge an unexpected bond that slowly turns into a life lesson in self-worth and the healing quality of love.
Matt “Freddy” Fredderic is all smiles—at least on the surface. On the ice, he’s the star left winger for the Waterfell Wolves with a stellar reputation in bed and a potential future in the NHL. But in the classroom, he’s barely scraping by on a 2.0 GPA, retaking failed classes and struggling with a rough mix of dyslexia, dyscalculia, and ADHD. Now tied to an NHL contract upon graduation, Freddy needs help to pass biology with a professor he has a tumultuous past with.
Ro Shariff is a hopeless romantic with terrible luck in love—and now, Freddy’s newly assigned tutor. Trying to convince herself that she’s very happy with her on again/off again boyfriend, Ro is desperate for real affection. As her tutoring sessions with Freddy lead to late-night phone calls and a deep understanding of each other’s hidden pains, a real friendship strikes up between them.
And, inevitably, a wistful secret pining hidden by them both. Ro can’t stop thinking about her first kiss her freshman year with Freddy—a spine-tingling moment that Freddy doesn’t seem to remember. Meanwhile, Freddy can’t let go of Ro’s drunken heartfelt confessions from the night she doesn’t remember.
While Freddy is determined to protect Ro from his reputation and prove to her how worthy of love she is, Ro wants to show Freddy that despite what others have led him to believe, he’s worth more than just his body. Together, with gentle affection and true admiration, they will show each other how easy it is to love the right person, no matter their flaws.

"Earnest, raw, and sexy, Unloved brims with tenderness and heart. In her sophomore novel, Corinne delivers the college romance of my dreams. This is more than a love story, it’s a journey of self-discovery, a beautiful coming-of-age, and a song about healing and being seen for all those pieces you hide. To be loved really is to be seen, and I guarantee you’ll find pieces of yourself in Ro, Freddy, and the rest of the gang at Waterfell." (Elena Armas, New York Times bestselling author of The Fiancé Dilemma)
“Peyton Corinne’s storytelling is unmatched! Unloved is an angsty, sexy, emotional journey that left me breathless.” (Farrah Rochon, New York Times bestselling author of The Dating Playbook)
I love this world Peyton has created. These characters are flawed, but so real. They make mistakes, but we have such a deep understanding of their psyche, history and where they're coming from that you never get mad or frustrated with the characters and you cannot help but feel deeply for them. She has this way of connecting the reader to the characters in a way I don't often experience.
Peyton also has this way of handling such difficult topics with the utmost care. Whether it be mental illness, abuse, or grief, she manages to heal her characters and her readers.
There is so much love and so many types of love represented in this book that even with the heavy topics, the story still fills you up with all the cozy warm hug feels.
I love Peyton Corinne's writing and she continued to demonstrate her exemplary storytelling in Unloved.

I loved Unsteady and was so excited to listen to the next installment in The Undone series, and it's so great to love it as much as I hoped I would.
There were so many things about Unloved that made it a great story, but the highlights in my opinion are the slow burn, how gutted the writing made me feel when both Ro and Matt didn't feel good enough, and the learning disability representation and vulnerability that comes with it.
The only thing I would have done differently would have been to re-read Unsteady right before starting Unloved. Enough time had passed that some of the specifics escaped my memory... events/characters of Unsteady were mentioned enough that I kept saying "gosh, I wish I re-read it!!" Unloved is definitely a stand alone, but if you've read the first book I would say maybe make sure you're still familiar with the story!
Just like I was super excited for Unloved, I'm really looking forward to Unbound next!
