incredibly helpful

Esther Perel is so insightful, smart and point-on. No matter the couple, she seems to understand so well what the couples are going through and the psychology and mind that each person is struggling with. Listening to these sessions has helped me understand a lot and I’m very grateful for her. 100% worth the listen~

Thoughtful

Esther is very thoughtful. I loved how she helps change the narrative script on people’s relationships. Sometimes you get too stuck in the story you keep telling yourself

Excellent! A Life Changing Listening Experience

In one episode this has changed one huge point of communication in my spouse and my relationship. It was eye opening to hear something (it wasn’t the sex part either, lol) that would be so important for our marriage! I didn’t want to turn this on, out of pain for my own personal place in life. I am so grateful this is here and that I was able to listen. I can’t wait to hear more! The whole world needs things just like this, so all can grow and become healthy! Thank you Ester! P.S. That was my Grandmas twin sisters name

Not as good as the Esther other works

I love the Esther's incites into relationships, this collection of sessions fails to bring her knowledge, unlike her other works. Also, a little difficult to hear the couples (bad recording). For some reason, Audible does not show finished / Unfinished status - so this title forever stays in your "Unfinished" titles list, even if you listen to the whole thing.

Highly recommended

You can glean more than just “couples therapy” from Esther’s sessions. I very much wanted to find fault with this entire subject because trusting is inevitable hurt. And although to a certain degree I still believe that, I was able to empathize with these couples, their personal struggles, and how those get drug into their current relationships. I can see how some of the organic breakthroughs and professional recommendations allow us to relate to each other outside of just our significant other. It helps us to remember how to better speak to our children and friends, coworkers, and even complete strangers. I love her blend of empathy, intuitiveness and calling bullshit when needed

Interesting beginning

I own the hardcover but haven't read it yet. The audio excerpt has influenced me to get started reading.

Therapeutic Art

Esther's ability to discern and analyze the story behind the couples' need for therapy is a gift that she gives generously and gently. She delivers her insight with the same consideration and technique a skilled artist takes when approaching their medium. I hope the seasons never end. Each couple brings their unique struggles, so that each new episode is a learning experience. I find it therapeutic over all since many of the themes can be applied to the creative process and relationships in general, however, it is particularly geared towards couples' issues with intimacy, connectedness and sex.

We need more!

I listened to both seasons as soon as I found out they were available. I love the real life look into challenges and the perspective that Esther brings to these conversations. I suggest these episodes to friends often and to anyone interested in new perspective. So many stories different than mine but so much good relatable content. I can’t get enough!
