À propos de cet audio
Story of Prahlad is one of the most popular stories in Bharat. It involves one of the Vishnu Dashavatars and forms the basis of one of important hindu festivals.
Prahlad was the son of the demon king Hiranyakashipu. Contrary to his fathers expectation of hating Vishnu, Prahlad developed an immense devotion in his heart for Lord Vishnu. Despite his father's attempts to make him renounce his faith—including threats, torture, and even being thrown into fire with the demoness Holika—Prahlad remained unwavering in his devotion. Miraculously, he was always protected by Vishnu. Finally, to end Hiranyakashipu’s tyranny, Vishnu appeared as Narasimha, a half-man, half-lion avatar, and destroyed the demon king in a way that defied all conditions of a boon he had received. Prahlad's story symbolizes unwavering faith and the triumph of good over evil.
