  • Carpe Diem! a book of daily affirmations by Ann Myra published in December 2024. A call to action Latin = Seize the Day. "Life is fast and ephemeral." She's a visual artist, singer-songwriter, author, surfer discussing life, business, culture, stories, events, topics after nearly losing her one and only precious life racing sailboats in 2018. Surviving breast cancer and two sexual assaults as well as the traumatic brain injury. She believes the famous quote about "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger." Looks to other brave water women, surfer-girl heros like Bethany Hamilton, Liz Clark. Bravo ladies! Keep on keeping on and you only live once. So Carpe-Diem!

    Ann Myra's second Carpe Diem episide was a shout out to the talented and kind visionary Jean Milant who founded Cirrus Gallery and Limited Edition prints. He was a wonderful man who gave me a job as gallery assistant while working my way through Cal Arts way back in the late 80's to early 90's. I learned much of what I know about being an artist who is simply "surviving" to a globally reknown dealer thriving in Los Angeles. Ann also stopped by the local Adler/Smith Gallery in Santa Monica to purchase the poster for the Marissa Murrow and Summer Strauch show that just closed. And Happy Cinquo de Mayo to all!
