Are you doing enough to be rightous with Jesus?

In this episode, we continue to examine how no matter what you do.  How good you are.  How many great acts you perfrom, we will always fall short of God's rightousness.

Paul uses Abraham and David as examples of great men who could not boast of thier accomplishments.  Only through the blessing of the Lord can be justified in our sins.

Through Grace and Faith alone are our sins and lawless deeds made right.

We close out Romans 3 by examining why salvation can not be achieved by good works but only through faith alone.  We are reminded of how we have no part in our justification and there is no place for boasting our works.

Romans 4 starts by using Abraham as an example of how the greatest person in the Jewish nation did not achieve his salvation by his works so how could anyone else hope to do so?

Only through faith and grace alone can we be saved.

    Justly Justified

Today we look at how with all of our sins we could ever be forgiven.  How could God be just in pronouncing guilty people to be not guilty?

While all have sinned and come short of the glory of God, he has declared us righteous and forgiven of our crimes against him.  He has done this freely through the Grace of Christ Jesus.  Not because we somehow deserve it but because he wanted to.

    God's Righteousness Revealed

As we have learned in past lessons when we measure ourselves against God's holy law we all fall short.  It doesn't matter how hard we work, we can never achieve salvation on our own.

Today we learn how two words change everything "But now..."   Paul tells us that the righteousness of God is made manifest!

Through God we have hope.  His righteousness gives us the opportunity for salvation through faith and His grace.
