Today I recommend his excellent collection of five novels, The Quincunx Cycle, including 'Fifteen Dogs,' 'Days by Moonlight,' and 'Ring,' all of which take place in Ontario, Canada. His writing is emotional, powerful, tragic, funny, and full of hidden magic.
