Is Earth under observation by non-human surveillance probes? This hypothesis is not unique to SETI astronomer Dr. Eamonn Ansbro. In March 2023, AARO Director Dr. Sean Kirkpatrick and Harvard astrophysicist Dr. Avi Loeb jointly published a scientific paper in which they hypothesized, among other things, that a mothership could approach Earth and release several small probes into the atmosphere. But what is considered debatable nowadays was considered taboo 20 years ago. SETI astronomer Dr. Eamonn Ansbro of Ireland's Kingsland Observatory had already published a very similar hypothesis in July 2001. This hypothesis was met with resistance from the SETI community.
