These changes have led some to believe our profession is going in the wrong direction. In this episode we cover some of our thoughts and ideas, giving our take on what we expect to happen over the next three years.

  • Episode 14 - "The PT Mill" (part 2)
    May 17 2022

We have decided to revisit an old episode, and one of our most listened to, about the "PT Mill Clinic".  First, lets change the notion of "PT Mill" to high volume. With another year and half under our belt we have really been able to solidify our places in the high volume clinic. What is so bad about it? Is it the volume or is the clinician that makes being in a high volume clinic perceived as being "bad"? Wait what about "High volume clinics do not get good outcomes!" These are all issues that come up frequently when we are asked about working in this setting, but are these accusations really true? There are various factors that contribute to this negative connotation, but patient volume is not necessarily one of them....

  • Episode 12 - The Lazy Clinician
    Feb 20 2022

Physical therapy is riddled with various talents from all over the country, but one thing that seems to stand out in the outpatient setting, the lazy clinician. During this episode we cover our opinions of how we determine who classifies as a lazy clinician. Is it because of today's society? The profession's expectations? Debt to income ratio? From a colleague and manager's viewpoint you will see how these individuals can negatively impact the profession and a clinic's culture and productivity.

    Jan 17 2022

A great start to the new year with new content. This time we dive into Social Media influence as it relates to patients we see and how we practice. We all use social media on an everyday basis and some clinicians may even use social media for new techniques to use with their patients, but how accurate is the information given in those social media posts? Throughout the episode we will critique and break down the good and the bad of social media, as well as provide our views on what the current information actually portrays.
