Anna recounts her time working in therapeutic communities inside of a prison, providing treatment for inmates struggling from substance abuse and associated mental health disorders—and how it changed her life and career. Her passion for residential treatment is evident as she recollects moments of connection and compassion that transformed the patients she served, along with her outlook on mental health treatment.
