    Part 2____________________________Pastor David King

    The ___________ of Heart

(Ecclesiastes 5:19 NLT) And it is a good thing to receive wealth from God and the good health to enjoy it. To enjoy your work and accept your lot in life—this is indeed a gift from God.

    The _________ Heart

(Ecclesiastes 6:1-2 NIV) 1 I have seen another evil under the sun, and it weighs heavily on mankind: 2 God gives some people wealth, possessions and honor, so that they lack nothing their hearts desire, but God does not grant them the ability to enjoy them, and strangers enjoy them instead. This is meaningless, a grievous evil.

(Malachi 3:6-12) 6 “I the Lord do not change. So you, the descendants of Jacob, are not destroyed. 7 Ever since the time of your ancestors you have turned away from my decrees and have not kept them. Return to me, and I will return to you,” says the Lord Almighty. “But you ask, ‘How are we to return?’ 8 “Will a mere mortal rob God? Yet you rob me. “But you ask, ‘How are we robbing you?’ “In tithes and offerings. 9 You are under a curse—your whole nation—because you are robbing me. 10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it. 11 I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not drop their fruit before it is ripe,” says the Lord Almighty. 12 “Then all the nations will call you blessed, for yours will be a delightful land,” says the Lord Almighty.

(1 Corinthians 16:2) On the first day of every week, each one of you should set aside a sum of money in keeping with your income, saving it up, so that when I come no collections will have to be made.

    A Broken Heart

    1. The more I _______, the more I _________.

(Ecclesiastics 5:10) Whoever loves money never has enough; whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with their income. This too is meaningless.

    2. The more I ______, the less I’m _________.

(Ecclesiastics 5:10) Whoever loves money never has enough; whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with their

    income. This too is meaningless.

    3. The more I ______, the more I have to _________ __________.

(Ecclesiastics 5:12) The sleep of a laborer is sweet, whether they eat little or much, but as for the rich, their abundance permits them no sleep.

    A New Heart

    1. We give _________.

(2 Corinthians 9:7) Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

    2. We give ______________.

(2 Corinthians 8:5) And they exceeded our expectations: They gave themselves first of all to the Lord, and then by the will of God also to us

    3. We give ___________.

(2 Corinthians 8:12) For if the willingness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what one does not have.

    Legacy

    Part 1____________________________Pastor David King

(Genesis 14:17-20 NLT) 17 After Abram returned from his victory over Kedorlaomer and all his allies, the king of Sodom went out to meet him in the valley of Shaveh (that is, the King’s Valley). 18 And Melchizedek, the king of Salem and a priest of God Most High, brought Abram some bread and wine. 19 Melchizedek blessed Abram with this blessing: “Blessed be Abram by God Most High, Creator of heaven and earth. 20 And blessed be God Most High, who has defeated your enemies for you.” Then Abram gave Melchizedek a tenth of all the goods he had recovered.

    Given the ___________ before giving a _________.

(Matthew 23:23 NLT) “What sorrow awaits you teachers of religious law and you Pharisees. Hypocrites! For you are careful to tithe even the tiniest income from your herb gardens, but you ignore the more important aspects of the law—justice, mercy, and faith. You should tithe, yes, but do not neglect the more important things.

(2 Corinthians 9:7 NLT) You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.”

    Given ______________ before giving _____________.

(1 John 4:19 NKJV) We love Him because He first loved us.

    Given _______________ before giving _____________.

(Matthew 6:14-15 NLT) 14 “If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you. 15 But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins.

(Ephesians 4:32 NLT) Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.

    Trust His _____________.

(Matthew 6:25-30 NIV) 25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? 28 “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith?

(Matthew 6:21) For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

    Trust His ________.

(John 3:16) For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

(1 John 4:19) We love because he first loved us.

    Trust His ______________.

(Psalms 86:5 NLT) O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive, so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help.

(Ephesians 4:32 NLT) Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.

(1 Corinthians 11:24 NIV) and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me.”

(1 Corinthians 11:25 NIV) In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.”

  • The Holy Spirit

    Holy Spirit. Pastor David King

(1 Corinthians 2:9-10) 9 However, as it is written: “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived”— the things God has prepared for those who love him— 10 these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.

(1 Corinthians 2:4-5) 4 My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, 5 so that your faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God’s power.

(1 Corinthians 4:20) For the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power.

(1 Corinthians 12:13) For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body—whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink.

(Galatians 3: 26-27) 26 So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, 27 for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.

(Acts 2:41) Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day.

(Matthew 10:32-33) 32 “Whoever acknowledges me before others, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven. 33 But whoever disowns me before others, I will disown before my Father in heaven.

(Acts 8:5, 12) 5 Philip went down to a city in Samaria and proclaimed the Messiah there. 12 But when they believed Philip as he proclaimed the good news of the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both

    men and women.

(Acts 8: 14-17) 14 When the apostles in Jerusalem heard that Samaria had accepted the word of God, they sent Peter and John to Samaria. 15 When they arrived, they prayed for the new believers there that they might receive the Holy Spirit, 16 because the Holy Spirit had not yet come on any of them; they had simply been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. 17 Then Peter and John placed their hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.

(1 John 5:7-8) 7 For there are three that testify: 8 the Spirit, the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement.

(Romans 8:9) 9 You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ.

(Acts 10:38) how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him.

(1 Corinthians 2:4-5) 4 My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, 5 so that your faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God’s power.

(1 Corinthians 12:7) Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.

(1 Thessalonians 1:5) because our gospel came to you not simply with words but also with power, with the Holy Spirit and deep conviction. You know how we lived among you for your sake.

Being filled with the Holy Spirit doesn’t make me better than you, it makes me better than me.

17 Then Peter and John placed their hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit
