True Disciples 2 Stumbling Block of the Cross By nature we hate the cross. Threads of self-preservation reject it. Self is spared at all costs; and Self will don a 1000 masks. We must hate Self as our worst enemy in the spiritual life. This is the stumbling block of the cross.

Devotion to Christ is the outmoded relic

We are sickly due to beggarly thoughts of the Lord while esteem for Self is highly inflated.
