Ora scopre che Rebecca Garrone, il suo referente nei servizi segreti, è stata allontanata, e al suo posto è arrivata una certa Giada Santini. Ora Anna dovrà avere a che fare solo con lei. I metodi di Giada sono molto diversi da quelli di Rebecca. La prima azione estrema che Giada ordina ad Anna è infatti di distruggere l'archivio di Roveda. Ha intenzione di farlo saltare in aria.

"Morella", novella del 1835, fa parte della serie "I racconti del terrore", scritti in un periodo storico che vede invece il trionfare del positivismo. Parecchi decenni prima dell'avvento della psicanalisi, Poe indaga con sapienza e intuizione la mente dell'uomo e sa che la paura non è condizionata soltanto da fattori esterni, ma può venire da uno stato interiore. Il senso di angoscia e paura è presente in tutto il racconto. Il protagonista, che è anche il narratore, sposa una donna molto intelligente di nome Morella.

L'opera fa parte del progetto "Radiovisione, scena e retroscena radiofonica" diretto da Sergio Ferrentino. "Un radiodramma, a leggerlo, non sa di niente, bisogna ascoltarlo, o meglio ancora vederlo": così è stato allestito al Teatro Gobetti di Torino e il pubblico, dotato di cuffie, ha potuto spiare in diretta attori e rumoristi in scena.

Con Gillo ancora in coma, e l'archivio segreto di Roveda nelle sue mani, Anna Bellini deve continuare a muoversi nel sottobosco della criminalità che ruotava attorno a Roveda e alla sua banda, in cerca di una via d'uscita. Anna, costretta da Maceratini a far uscire di galera Zeller, decide di usare il criminale come esca. Anna segue Zeller in auto e assiste al tentativo di due killer di ucciderlo. Anna interviene, ferisce uno dei killer e salva Zeller. Anna porta il killer al Lovers Hotel e lo interroga.
