Mason Walker

Fifteen years after retiring as a Navy SEAL, Mason Walker has gone into reclusion, focusing on the mission his dying wife gave him — to raise his daughter to become the best woman she can be. Roughly one month has passed since Mason joined Onyx. In that time, he saved the president’s family, took his daughter to Stanford, and received orders to take out an Iranian scientist plotting to drop samples of Ebola on Washington, DC. Along with the rest of Onyx, Mason flies over to Tehran to complete what should be a routine mission. But upon arrival, everything goes to hell. The scientist is nowhere to be seen. The vials are gone. All leads are cold. And, to make matters worse, someone is actively working to sabotage Onyx from within.

Mason didn’t listen to his gut. And now it may cost him his daughter. Nearly a full year has passed since Mason Walker’s last dangerous mission. Clara, his daughter, has finished her first year at Stanford and her first professional job. To celebrate, Mason and Clara jet off to Egypt for two weeks before her sophomore year begins. All seems normal on the trip. They sight-see, meet other travelers, and take photos. But as soon as they land back in Baltimore, Onyx calls. They need Mason’s help.
