Description

Don't miss the epic conclusion to Caspian Hart and Arden St. Ives' love story!
If you love someone, set them free...

I thought I'd be okay when Caspian Hart left. He was a brilliant, beautiful billionaire with a past he couldn't escape. And I was...just me: an ordinary man lost in his own life. It would never have lasted. It should never have happened. Not outside a fairytale.

And I am okay. I've got my job, my family, my friends, and everything Caspian taught me. Except it turns out he's going to marry his ex-boyfriend. A man who doesn't understand him. A man who almost broke him. And I've finally realized it's not enough for me to be happy. I need Caspian to be happy, too.

Problem is, I've already done all I can to help him. I've followed his rules and broken his rules and learned his secrets. And he still won't believe I can love him. So now it's his turn. His turn to fight, and trust, and hope. It's time for Caspian Hart to choose me.

Emotional, I feel so sorry for Caspian!

4 Blue Roses
4 Blue Flames

Narrator Joel Leslie delivered at last the long awaited conclusion of The Arden St. Ives Series. I know now why we waited so long for it, the story goes on and on and on and on.........

It felt like one depressing and unending struggle to get Caspian to finally forgive himself and accept Arden's love the way he so much deserves.
Don't misunderstand me, it is a must listen, but it's dark, emotional and frustrating.
It is thought provoking and although it has a HEA, author Alexis Hall left some aspects of the story unanswered for you to ponder on.

This series was unique in terms of delving deep into the character's personalities. I experienced lots of emotional connections and found myself pulled into their world, realizing the rich are not necessarily the happiest and that what appears to be shiny, may rather be reflections of hidden tears.

I recommend this audiobook. Joel Leslie has such a sexy voice for Caspian. It gives me goosebumps, I tell you!

Happy Listening

The Best Love Rollercoaster ❤️🎢

Alexis Hall continues to create an amazing story that had me feeling all of the feels. One moment I am ready to cry for poor Arden and the next I am ready to shake him. It is impossible to skip ahead because you will absolutely miss some moment in Arden’s travails. Joel Leslie gives an amazing performance and had me laughing, crying, and yelling at different turns. In this third installment, the reader is given an opportunity to see the full gamut of emotions that Arden has regarding Caspian. His love is steadfast, but battered and rejected at almost every turn. Some moments are hard to watch, so to speak, but the highs and lows of Arden are so genuine and earnest it is impossible to look away. This book does not end on a cliffhanger but it did leave me wanting to see a final epilogue HEA several years into the future between Arden and Caspian.

So good. Words fail. Buy this book.

I do not write reviews as often as I should. I feel guilty about my laziness, considering how much creative energy so many of my favorite authors put into building the stories I compulsively consume like so many chips. In my defense, I read so much that a great proportion of what passes before my eyes (or through my ears) fails to leave a lasting impression, especially with genre fiction which is often so trope-laden and formulaic that it all blurs together with little to distinguish it.

Not so the Arden St. Ives series. Ever since Glitterland, Alexis Hall has been one of favorite authors, whose every release is an auto-buy. But even among all the superlative novels I've enjoyed from this source, these three stand out.

I've been waiting to pounce on this final installment ever since the end of the second book, "How to Blow It With a Billionaire." So much so that when I woke up at 3:00 a.m. on release day, I had to get up and download the new book and start listening right away (which pretty much put paid to any more sleep.) With so much anticipation on my part, one might predict that the reality would be disappointing in some aspect or another. Seriously, though -- the only complaint I can come up with was that it was not nearly long enough!

This series keeps the reader engaged in every way. The language alone is enough to make me swoon. I want to roll wantonly around in the rich and sensuous vocabulary. The characters are so well-drawn that it is hard to believe they are constructed rather than birthed. The plotting deftly avoids the usual cliches, and I was delighted not to be able to predict the ways in which the story unfolded. The emotional dynamics had me snorting with laughter one minute, only to tear up at a poignant moment later in the very same scene. The themes of shame and identity (among many others) added multiple layers to one's experience of the story. It might be easy to look at a plot synopsis of this series and dismiss it as just another porny gay romance. As someone who once earned an English degree, I would be happy to classify it as literature. It just happens to be literature which explores complex aspects of the human condition through kinky sex. (And hot kinky sex, at that!)

When the book ended, I found myself sitting listening to the silence through my earbuds for a while, vainly wishing for more. While the HEA was very satisfying indeed on the main character front, I would have very much enjoyed seeing some additional scenes with all the other key players. I can't help but hope for an Ardy Aftermath that would distribute measures of deliverance and retribution, as deserved. (Even if it might be a little predictable.) It is just hard to say goodbye without knowing the actual details of what happens next. However, even if no more of the Arden St. Ives story is forthcoming, I can at least appreciate my imperfect memory in that I can look forward to many enjoyable re-reads. Thank you, Mr. Hall, for the many hours of reading pleasure you have delivered to this very grateful reader!

Arden is just too precious

I loved this book perfect end to the trilogy. Arden is just a wonderful character. I loved the way his friendships with George and Ellory were portrayed. He really did come into his own in many ways, which was something he needed to do for himself and his perspective on Caspian is much clearer moving forward for the two of them. Beautifully narrated, made me feel all the feels from start to finish, loved it.

A review of the three book series

The overall series was incredible! I liked the first two books better than the last one. There was an element of cheating in the third book that put me off. I loved Arden for the most part. There were times when a head slap might have helped straighten both of the main characters out, but on the whole I fell in love with bothering of them. Joel Leslie’s performance was spectacular!

One of the best series ever!

I've read and listened to a lot of material and this series is perfect. Witty, funny, characters you fall in love with and great storyline. If you love British humor you will die laughing. So many English literature and Star Wars references that are hilarious, there really is something for everyone. The sex is hot but not so dark as BDSM novels so I like this too. Definitely top 10.

Could it be any longer.....?

THERE ARE SPOILERS...BE WARNED.....
To start Joel Leslie did fantastic and is the only reason this review got as many stars as it did. His performance carried me to the end of this one. Without him I probably would have stopped after the first couple of chapters and gave up.
OMG! Could this book be any longer. Someone should have edited the content of this one. I loved the series. The story between Caspian and Arden is wonderful, however this book did not live up to the expectations the first two set. It was waaaayyyy too long. There are too many things that happen to Arden that have nothing to do with the plot line between him and Caspian. I understand that it is to show Arden growing as a person, however it could have been done a better and shorter way. Yes, I love his experiences with Elery and some of the things he goes through, however his entire relationship with George is completely pointless and unnecessary to the story. In the end, we didn't even really get a HEA, we got a HFN with a reference to what their lives could be like in the future. With everything that happened between them and everything they went through to get to that point, there could have been at least a little bit of a focus on their happiness. For the title to be about belonging with a billionaire, we never really get to experience them truly together. For listening to this for 13+ hours, then ending was severely lacking.

An absolutely stunning series.

I enjoyed this series from the first to the last word. Insightful, excruciatingly funny, passionate, in short so, so good. I miss the superlatives to describe the series, just listen to it. The narrator is spot-on with his voices and the emotions. It's lonely at the top, Alexis Hall!

Nick and Bellrose Spin-Off?

I love this series, and I am currently shipping Nick and Bellrose so hard in my head, can we please get a spin off with them? Nick is more dependent now, and all Bellrose wants to do is be useful to someone. It sounds like a match made in my head. Hopefully this could happen. Anyway, love the book.
