Rather, explosive kids are lacking some crucial skills in the domains of flexibility/adaptability, frustration tolerance, and problem solving, and they require a different approach.

Every year, millions of withdrawn little girls and chronically overwhelmed women go undiagnosed with Attention Deficit Disorder because they don't fit the stereotypical profile: they're not fast-talking, hyperactive, or inattentive, and they are not male. Sari Solden's groundbreaking study reveals that ADHD affects just as many women as men, and that the resulting depression, disorganization, anxiety, and underachievement are also symptoms of ADHD. Newly revised and updated to reflect the latest clinical research, the book explores treatment and counseling options and more.

Saved my family
This book was so helpful for me understanding my daughter. Helping in areas of understanding her limits and the reason she behaves a certain way. ADHD is such a tough topic because everyone (even when having no knowledge on the subject) seem to have opinions and views of how we as parents must be doing something wrong. Yet my daughters twin sister behaves completely different and is very well behaved.
I have a very busy life and find it difficult to find time to read now adays so having #Audible1 is so wonderful. It’s incredible to be able to clean and cook and “read” at the same time.

Good Content, Listen at 1.5x Speed
The content from Dr. Barkley is really helpful. Unfortunately the narrator read very slowly and with very little variation in pitch, so it is a very tough slog to listen at normal speed. I found myself much more engaged when I set the speed higher. The content is great, so do whatever you have to do to get yourself into it!
