That said, you really don't need to understand and retain every scientific concept to get value out of this book. The tools the author suggests are very practical and easy to apply, even if you don't perfectly understand the theory behind it.
I personally love that it goes deeper into neurology than most mainstream books on depression. Contemplating the mechanisms that regulate my own brain helps me detach myself from my illness, which in turn helps me take positive action. If you can relate to that, I believe you'll love this book!
