  • Artificially Intelligence'd - Lost Tape 003
    Sep 22 2025

Tonight, we take a break from comics to discuss the fear of artificial intelligence, which has been an evolving concern over the centuries, suggesting that civilization has always been on the path to this rise of automation since the Industrial Revolution spawned the supply and demand economy we have had since then. If you're going to do anything in this nation, you have to understand the history of technology and its uses.

Using iRobot, we discuss the impact of the imperfect person creating perfect robots, like artificial intelligence, which is said to be our future. What an imperfect way to pass on our civilization.

    Historical Accuracies Corrected:

This model was actually borrowed from earlier Roman models, which were then reintroduced and modified by the English before Amsterdam officially organized.

The first official stock exchange was the Amsterdam Stock Exchange, established in 1602, primarily for trading shares of the Dutch East India Company. This marked a significant step by introducing the formal trading of company shares.

The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) began with the signing of the Buttonwood Agreement by 24 stockbrokers on Wall Street on May 17, 1792. This agreement laid the foundation for a formal network of brokers for stock trading in the U.S.

  • Service, Product, Process, & Vision - Lost Tape 002
    Sep 22 2025

Shots fired! Inevitable Mike uses the unruly and disreputable examples of dashers and third-party delivery contractors in comparison to how indie comic businesses could be run. I put in my two cents using various historical accuracies to describe employee and employer relationships. It's an intellectual rambling of delightful insight into indie comics, critique, and more words against Disney. Understanding service, product, process, and vision!

Background SFX are brought to you by a very rambunctious 6-year-old.

Lost Tape 002 - It's so interesting to listen to yourself from a year or two ago, and how far you are from where your head was years before the present. I hope you're as delighted by this EP as I am by this episode.

  • The Risk's of Crowdfunding - Lost Tape 001
    Sep 21 2025

After 5+ years in comics and several crowdfunding campaigns, including 2+ years of marketing in crowdfunding comics, I discuss my thoughts after the end of the Wild Oni campaign. In this solo reflection, we discuss topics such as branding, business, and a plethora of other IP-like issues as they relate to indie comics through big comic and game company product studies. So if you're looking for answers on how and why to publish, then learn from my little nugget of success. We even talk about Nathan Fillion and my opinions on his roles over the years.

Lost tape 001 - Life is a funny thing, and when you're good at something, it's best to walk away at the top, than to burn out in a flaming tail spin. So it was a surprise to me to find these unreleased EPs, as it might be to you. Life for me has changed much over the years, and while I have my button on a comeback show, I wanted to release these for those who stuck with me over the years.

Thank you so much for following my journey, listening to my opinions, and putting up with my guest episode shenanigans. If you'd like to see the show return, please email me at comics_poptarts@yahoo.com.

  • S1E2: Those Dang! Reviews: Dark Angel 1991
    Jan 1 2024

Inevitable Mike has roped in Daniel Garcia as his co-host for an all-new podcast about opinions on movies. Tonight's movie, Dark Angel, a smooth 1990s detective film with an alien twist featuring Dolph Lundgren. I concede to movie-biased twenty years in the harboring? Does Dark Angel hold up? Are there any fun facts about the movie?

SPOILER ALERT* We do not apologize for you not going to see this movie before our review, thank you.

  • S1EP1: Indiana Jones & The Dial of Destiny Review
    Dec 14 2023

Inevitable Mike has roped in Daniel Garcia as his co-host for an all-new podcast about opinions on movies. Tonight's movie, Disney's Plusasaurus, will cover our thoughts and feelings about Indiana Jones and the Dile of Destiny. Is Harrison Ford too old for this sh*t? Will there be another Indiana Jones movie? Who the hell names their son 'Mutt'? And a few other from-the-heart discussions we couldn't help but discuss.

SPOILER ALERT* We do not apologize for you not going to see this movie before our review, thank you.
