  • An Intersectional Approach to Ocean Conservation and Wildlife Filmmaking
    May 14 2021

Envirosations co-host, Hannah Dayton, is joined by wildlife filmmaker and underwater camera operator, Inka Cresswell, to chat about her passion for protecting our ocean that stemmed from childhood curiosity, her recent short film, 'MY 25: The Ocean Between Us', and the need for an intersectional approach to ocean conservation.

After studying for a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Biology Inka noticed a strong disconnect between science and general awareness, which led her to combine her passion for underwater photography and interest in marine biology and conservation to create wildlife documentaries that focus on the underwater world and reconnect people with nature.

Inka recently completed her short film 'MY 25: The Ocean Between Us' which was a part of the official selection at the world-renowned wildlife film festival 'Wildscreen' as well as a finalist at Jackson Wilds 'World Wildlife Day: Biodiversity film showcase'. The film is currently screening at a variety of film festivals and educational events around the world. A direct link to view “My 25: The Ocean Between Us” is available here.
