Dr. Max Baker-Hytch is the Academic Advisor at OCCA. He received his PhD in Philosophy from the University of Oxford in 2014. Afterwards, he held two postdoctoral research fellowships, one at Oxford (2014-15), and one at the University of Notre Dame. Separately to his role at OCCA, he is Lecturer in Philosophy at Wycliffe Hall, Oxford University.

Max’s research interests mainly focus on the intersection of the philosophy of religion and epistemology. Max has published more than a dozen scholarly articles and book chapters on various topics within these fields, which can be accessed on his PhilPapers profile (link below). He has recently published a book with Cambridge University Press entitled God and the Problem of Evidential Ambiguity. He has participated in several public debates on these topics, including on Justin Brierley’s Unbelievable show.

Murray Stein, PhD is a graduate of the C.G. Jung Institute/Zurich and is a training analyst at the International School of Analytical Psychology in Zurich (ISAPZ). He is a founding member of the Inter-Regional Society for Jungian Analysts (USA) and the Chicago Society of Jungian Analysts and was president of the International Association for Analytical Psychology from 2001 to 2004.

Robert is an interdisciplinary scientist and philosopher building a novel framework of thinking that can integrate scientific research, technological developments (specifically: AI), and insights generated within the humanities. It currently focuses on the interface theory of perception as well as the mathematization of phenomenology, appealing to category and network theory (topology). In the past, Robert received a doctorate in physical chemistry in 2013 and a doctorate in philosophy in 2017 from ETH Zürich. Currently, he is an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Humanities at ShanghaiTech University. His Erdős number is 4.
