  • Mastering Your Mindset with Shelley Haisman & Jenny Dunkin
    Jul 25 2025
In this episode of Positive Solutions 4 Life, Peggy sits down with Shelley Haisman and Jenny Dunkin to explore how mastering your mindset—rooted in faith and intentional action—can shape your life, relationships, and even your success. From overcoming self-doubt to flipping negative thoughts, Shelley and Jenny share personal stories, practical strategies, and faith-filled encouragement to help you take control of your inner dialogue and step into the life God has designed for you. 🔑 Episode Highlights: 💡 Mindset is Everything Shelley’s introduction to mindset work came through her time selling educational books door-to-door with the Southwestern Company. Though the job was tough, the mental toughness training and focus on personal growth transformed how she saw herself and her future. It was the first time she realized that life doesn’t just happen to you—you have a choice. Jenny was inspired by Shelley’s growth and positivity. Though she initially said no to joining the company, seeing the vibrant, uplifting community firsthand led her to embrace the same opportunity. Both women agree: 👉 We all need some version of “Sales School” in life to train our minds—because traditional school rarely teaches us how to think. ✨ Faith at the Center At the heart of Shelley and Jenny’s mindset practices is their faith in God. They believe God wants us to live lives of abundance, positivity, and trust. “Nowhere in the Bible does it say to stress about it—it says to trust.” Daily practices like prayer, gratitude, and seeking guidance from the Holy Spirit help keep them aligned. Faith is not just a piece of their lives; it is the foundation of how they think, lead, and encourage others. 🛠️ Mindset Tools You Can Start Using Today: 🃏 Emotional Purpose Cards Write down your “why” and positive truths to strengthen your mental resilience. These cards are designed to remind you of your purpose when things get hard. Examples from Jenny’s cards: “The Holy Spirit guides me.” “I am one person away from explosive growth.” “People need what I have and are waiting for me to reach out.” “I am super organized.” Marianne Williamson’s quote: ‘Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate…’ Read them daily. Especially when discouragement creeps in. 🔄 Flip the Script Negative thoughts will come—but you don’t have to let them lead. Shelley and Jenny use this simple, powerful tool to reframe their inner dialogue: When a negative thought arises, tack on this phrase: “…and that’s exactly how I like it.” For example: 🚫 “I can never lose weight; I’m just fat.” ✅ “I am taking steps daily, no matter how small, and I feel great about it… and that’s exactly how I like it.” This helps move you from a place of defeat to empowerment and action. If a thought feels true (like, “I’ve always been disorganized”), you can acknowledge: “That may have been true in the past… but no longer. I am choosing differently now.” 💬 The Power of Your Circle Who you surround yourself with matters. Both Shelley and Jenny shared how environments influence mindset—whether it’s colleagues complaining about their spouses or friends stuck in negativity. Be intentional about: ✅ Spending time with people who lift you up ✅ Listening to podcasts like this ✅ Reading books that align with the person you want to become 🙏 Gratitude & Trust: The Foundation of Abundance Gratitude is key. Even when life feels hard, there’s always something to thank God for. “Start your day with gratitude. Thank God for another day. Focus on the blessings, no matter how small.” Faith reminds us that negative thoughts aren’t from God. God is a God of love, abundance, and possibility. When you trust Him, it’s easier to quiet the noise of doubt and fear. 📚 Resources & Connections: 📲 Connect with Shelley & Jenny: Jenny Dunkin: 👉 Facebook 👉 Instagram Shelley Haisman: 👉 Facebook 👉 Instagram Mentioned in this episode: ✨ Amy Weinands – youaremore.com 📢 Coming Soon: Shelley & Jenny are co-authoring a book on mindset and faith—expected late 2025 or early 2026! 💖 Final Takeaway: You have the power to shift your thoughts, your mindset, and your life’s direction. Be aware. Flip the Script. Speak life over your circumstances. With God as your partner, nothing is impossible.

  • 'Fake it Till You Make it' Doesn't Work!
    Jul 23 2025

In this episode of Positive Solutions 4 Life, Peggy Meyer challenges one of the most common (but misleading) pieces of advice: “Fake it till you make it.”

You’ll discover why faking it doesn’t lead to true confidence or success — and how it can actually keep you stuck. Peggy shares 5 practical mindset shifts you can make today to stop pretending and start becoming the confident, capable, and successful person you’re meant to be.

Whether you’re in sales, leadership, network marketing, entrepreneurship, or just trying to grow in your personal life, this episode is packed with actionable insights to help you build confidence and success from the inside out.

What You’ll Learn in This Episode:

✅ Why faking it creates insecurity, not confidence ✅ How to “act as if” by modeling the behavior of successful people ✅ Why copying success is not cheating — it’s smart ✅ How posture, energy, and voice shape your success before you speak ✅ Why your identity must align with your desired outcomes ✅ How small, consistent shifts lead to lasting transformation

    Key Takeaways:

✨ 1️⃣ Faking It Creates Insecurity, Not Confidence Confidence comes from competence and aligned action, not pretending. “Act as if” means aligning your behavior today with the person you want to become.

✨ 2️⃣ Success Leaves Clues: Modeling Is Not Cheating Modeling successful behaviors shortens your learning curve. Copying in life and business isn’t cheating — it’s strategic and wise.

✨ 3️⃣ Your Energy, Posture, and Voice Matter More Than You Realize People feel your energy before they hear your words. Lead yourself first with confidence, posture, and presence.

✨ 4️⃣ Faking It Keeps You Tied to the Wrong Identity Shift your identity to match your future success. Speak and act like the person you’re becoming, not the person you’ve been.

✨ 5️⃣ Small, Consistent Shifts Lead to Real Transformation Success is built on habits, not hacks. Model successful people’s behaviors in your money, mindset, health, and habits.

    Challenge for This Week:

Identify one area where you’ve been faking it — confidence, leadership, posture, saving money, etc. Ask yourself: “How would the most successful version of me show up right now?” Then go model someone who’s already there. Learn. Adapt. Apply. Stop faking. Start becoming.

  • Self-Leadership with Mel Ferguson
    Jul 18 2025

In this empowering episode of Positive Solutions 4 Life, Peggy Meyer sits down with Mel Ferguson, a self-leadership coach, speaker, and mentor, to explore what it truly means to lead yourself from the inside out. Mel shares her powerful journey from being a teenage mom of four to experiencing a medical wake-up call that forced her to re-evaluate how she was living. Like many, she had spent years putting everyone else's needs first—until she realized the cost to her health, identity, and well-being.

Mel now helps others shift from burnout and overgiving to conscious leadership of their own lives—starting with self-awareness, emotional intelligence, healthy boundaries, and redefining rest. This conversation will help you reflect on how you show up for yourself and empower you to make intentional changes.

    💡 Key Takeaways:

    • Self-leadership begins with awareness and choice: How are you leading yourself today?

    • Rest is essential, not a reward. Define what rest looks like for you—and give yourself permission to take it.

    • Boundaries are self-respect in action. Start small, build clarity and confidence over time.

    • Learn to regularly check in with your emotions and needs using tools like non-violent communication.

    • Align your rest, work, and play in a way that works for your season of life—these aren't separate, but interconnected.

    🛠️ Tools & Practices Shared:

    • Developing emotional intelligence and practicing non-violent communication

    • Using self-reflection questions: What do I feel? What do I need?

    • Starting with one small boundary and celebrating progress

    • Creating a “rest list” personalized to your lifestyle (e.g., walks, baths, nature, music, movement)

    • Understanding how your self-leadership affects your family, teams, and impact

🌿 Final Reflection: "Leadership starts with you. When you lead yourself with care, intention, and self-respect, your life—and the lives of those around you—transform."
