In this deeply moving and incredibly practical episode, we sit down with Hollie McEvoy, the compassionate force behind Unbury the Burden — a project born from personal tragedy and transformed into a powerful tool for healing and preparedness.

Hollie shares the story of losing her mother suddenly and how the chaos and confusion that followed inspired her to help others avoid the same pain. Through her organization, Unbury the Burden, Hollie empowers individuals and families to face one of life’s most difficult topics: death.

We dive into how her book and fillable end-of-life planning worksheets (available at www.unburytheburden.org
) make final arrangements easier to talk about, organize, and act on — whether you're doing it for yourself or someone you love.

Expect honest conversations, a few laughs, and plenty of “why didn’t anyone teach us this?!” moments. Whether you're grief-stricken, planning ahead, or somewhere in between, this episode will leave you feeling more prepared and less alone.

We've had some powerful updates in the fight to bring Casi Ann Pogue home. Recently, we had the honor of speaking about Casi’s case at the South Carolina Statehouse, raising awareness and pushing for real change to support missing persons and their families. We also held a moving Tribute Day in her memory, where the community came together to reflect, support, and remember the vibrant soul behind the headlines. Thanks to generous donations and tireless advocacy, we’ve also been able to secure multiple billboards across key locations, keeping Casi’s face and story front and center. Every step forward is fueled by love, determination, and the hope that Casi will come home.
