This week, Gary and I went all over the map—starting with Netflix and Narcos, then asking the question: do Christians really need to drive the speed limit? We also got into one of the big ones: are pictures of Jesus actually ok, or are they breaking the 2nd Commandment?

From homeschool extremes, to why we all push back on authority, to the reality farmers face with Canada’s worker shortage—we tried to keep it real, grounded in faith, and cracking a few jokes along the way.

    Enjoy

  • Why the Church Is Full of Hurting People Pretending to Be Fine | Freedom Session I Ken Dyck – Ep 36
    Aug 30 2025

If you think church is just for people who have it all together… You might want to listen to this one.

In this episode, I sit down with Ken Dyck, founder of Freedom Session—a 21-week journey that’s been called “the deepest and most transferable healing discipleship ministry in North America.” We talk about why Sunday mornings often feel like a museum for “good” people instead of a hospital for the broken, why so many Christians quietly live with guilt, shame, and emotional pain, and how Freedom Session helps people actually heal—not just cope.

Ken shares his own story, how the program began, and why it works for everyone, from business leaders to single moms. We hit on discipleship, emotional maturity, and the stuff most churches never teach you about how to process pain with Jesus.

If you’ve ever thought, “I’m fine,” but know something’s missing, this conversation might be the start of rewriting your story.

I hope you're blessed by our chat.
