À propos de cet audio

Two Guys One Paper is about promoting the work of early career researchers in sustainability-related fields while helping to demystify the publication process and science dissemination. In each episode researchers Tom Elliot and Furqan Asif chat with someone who has recently published one of their first academic peer-reviewed papers and we focus on discussing three questions with them:
  • What’s their paper about?
  • Were there any weird mishaps during the process?
  • And what tips they offer to other rookies looking to publish their work?

In our fourth episode of Two Guys One Paper, we had a coffee with Maria Risager Nielsen and she told us about her master thesis, which she spent doing participatory research in Greenland. This resulted in an article in the Études/Inuit Studies journal titled Impacts of Climate Change on Youth’s Place Attachment: A Case Study of Tasiilaq, East Greenland. She also talked about this in the context of ongoing decolonization discourse. Maria is currently a research assistant in the Danish Centre for Environmental Assessment research group at Aalborg University, and is working on social impact assessment and gender in relation to energy and mining projects.
