  • Card 15: The Devil
    Sep 7 2025

    Send us a text

The Devil card in tarot is often feared and misunderstood, but it actually represents an invitation to find freedom and break the chains that no longer serve us. In this episode, we will explore how the the Devil card from the third line in the Major Arcana (the Evolution Line) calls us to look beneath surface appearances to find our authentic truth. We will see how to engage with this great liberator with autonomy and honesty, not fear and dogma.

Main themes discussed in the episode:

    • The Devil as the first card in the "evolution line" of the Major Arcana
    • Finding your autonomous center between internal truth and external experiences
    • Looking into the underbelly to see causes rather than consequences
    • Breaking chains that others, society, or ourselves have placed upon us

    • Symbolic elements: chains, masks, locks and keys, connections to the zodiac sign of Capricorn, the Hebrew letter, and the Greek God Pan
    • Harnessing free will to create your path and honor your evolution

    Thanks for listening!

  • Queens of the Tarot: Sex and the City Edition
    Aug 19 2025

    Send us a text

The best way to learn the tarot is to see where the cards come forward in pop culture references. In this episode, we explore how the four protagonists of Sex and the City embody the four queens of the tarot deck, and how this can help us intuitively learn how to read the Court Cards

    Our Queens/Protagonists:

Samantha Jones as the Queen of Pentacles – her bold approach to life and confidence, work ethic, authenticity, and living her truth unapologetically demonstrates her practical manifestation in action

Miranda Hobbs as the Queen of Swords – her analytical mind, pragmatic approach, cynicism, wit, need for control, and pragmatism reflect the intellectual clarity of the Queen of Swords

Charlotte York as the Queen of Cups – her eternal optimism, romantic nature, traditional beliefs, softness, and emotional depth showcase the true nurturing nature of the Cups. All love is worth fighting for

Carrie Bradshaw as the Queen of Wands – her risk-taking fashion, passion for life, her fiery refusal to settle for less than what she wants, and her creation of a life that is on her terms show the transformative quality of our fiery Queen.

    • The shadow aspects of each queen provide deeper insights into character flaws and growth opportunities

    • Court cards in tarot invite us to embody their energies and apply their wisdom to our own lives

Do you agree with my choices? How would you crown these Queens of Manhattan with the tarot?

  • Card 14: Temperance
    Aug 6 2025

    Send us a text

We explore Temperance as a profound threshold card representing spiritual alchemy after experiencing Death, examining how it guides us to let our spirit be an anchor as we hinge between loss and renewal. The card reveals how we merge past and present with awareness, magic, and nourishment to transform into something greater.

Temperance comes after Death, requiring us to recognize our rawness while continuing forward
    • The card isn't simply about balance—it's about alchemizing our spirit after difficult experiences, and how we've been changed and deepened by those experiences
    • Our greatest growth often comes after periods of greatest challenge
