The drums of war sound in the Limitless Lands as Commander Raytak continues his quest to unite Hayden’s Knoll under the banner of the Imperium. Narbos the Grimm prepares his forces to invade, seeking new power from an ancient evil as he tries to wrest control of the zone from Raytak and his friends. Unsure of who is friend or potential foe, Raytak must make contact with the Ikbose elves and the Goreaxe ogres. Will they join the Imperium? Will they choose their own path? Will they fight alongside his enemies?

The main character is a virtual game developer, who forces his way into the game. His character is a beetle who has lost his memory and doesn't consider himself a monster. He begins to upgrade his skills and get different achievements. He's trying to get to the truth as he pieces together shards of his memories, which he can't completely trust. As his intelligence grows, his memories are coming back. The realm he falls into is an underground world, which consists of 10 levels, with different caves, tunnels, and monsters.

As Qube and her companions reach the end of the now thoroughly broken game, they must come to grips with the nature of their reality, and the world beyond. Interested parties from the real world clash with our heroes as they scramble to defeat the Evil Emperor in time and reveal the secrets they’ve been keeping from one another. In an increasingly relevant dilemma, these video game characters, born of AI, must decide what it means to be free.
