Britney Spears - introduction
À propos de cet audio
“In Britney Spears’s memoir, she’s stronger than ever.” —The New York Times
Over 2 million copies sold of the “moving” (Time), “powerful” (Los Angeles Times), “radiant” (The New York Times), “poignant” (Vogue) #1 New York Times bestseller. The Woman in Me is a brave and astonishingly moving story about freedom, fame, motherhood, survival, faith, and hope.
In June 2021, the whole world was listening as Britney Spears spoke in open court. The impact of sharing her voice—her truth—was undeniable, and it changed the course of her life and the lives of countless others. The Woman in Me reveals for the first time her incredible journey—and the strength at the core of one of the greatest performers in pop music history.
Written with remarkable candor and humor, Spears’s groundbreaking book illuminates the enduring power of music and love—and the importance of a woman telling her own story, on her own terms, at last.

Jennette McCurdy was six years old when she had her first acting audition. Her mother’s dream was for her only daughter to become a star, and Jennette would do anything to make her mother happy. So she went along with what Mom called “calorie restriction." She endured extensive at-home makeovers while Mom chided, “Your eyelashes are invisible, okay? You think Dakota Fanning doesn’t tint hers?” She was even showered by Mom until age sixteen while sharing her diaries, email, and all her income. In I’m Glad My Mom Died, Jennette recounts all this in unflinching detail.

For decades, Demi Moore has been synonymous with celebrity. From iconic film roles to high-profile relationships, Moore has never been far from the spotlight - or the headlines. Even as Demi was becoming the highest paid actress in Hollywood, however, she was always outrunning her past. Throughout her rise to fame and during some of the most pivotal moments of her life, Demi battled addiction, body image issues, and childhood trauma that would follow her for years - all while juggling a skyrocketing career and at times negative public perception.

Jill and Derick knew a normal life wasn’t possible for them. As a star on the popular TLC reality show 19 Kids and Counting, Jill grew up in front of viewers who were fascinated by her family’s way of life. She was the responsible, second daughter of Jim Bob and Michelle’s nineteen kids; always with a baby on her hip and happy to wear the modest ankle-length dresses with throat-high necklines.

Ce que les critiques en disent
I am surprised how emotional I became at times... and angry ...so many times....at her father & her family, Dianne Sawyer for shaming a young girl...
But most of all, the Papparatzi Bastards...
How people treat others, like Brittany has been treated, is beyond me. I hope they are made to repay every penny they have left that she made them. Some should be publicly apologizing
I really enjoyed this Book.
It was well written, it kept me listening...the narrator was perfect,
My daughter and I brought it on our walk with the dog... We had to hear it all and didnt wantvto wait!!!!
I feel there more to tell...I'm looking forward to atcleast one more
Well Done!!
Congratulations !!

It’s reasonably written and follows a well-paced timeline. Michelle Williams did a great job narrating and often sounds like Britney when she was younger. It’s a quick listen and is interesting even if you don’t know a lot about Britney’s history.
I would have liked if the book was longer and went more in-depth to certain events and also how and what Britney was thinking and feeling. My hope is that Britney was in complete control of this story and only shared what she was comfortable with and not that it was rushed to publishing. Hopefully she considers writing another book at some point as a follow up. I’d love to hear what life becomes for her.
Her story deserves to be heard
