Amazing
I am a huge fan of Tamora Peirce, bloodhound is no exception to this. Her story is captivating. Susan Denaker was a perfect choice for narrating, however I did some times where the voices of certain character weren't consistent, but that was a very minor thing.

Fantastic listen
I seriously love all the Tamora Pierce books. And this one is no different. As a sequel to Terrier this book is fantastic. The story continues not long after the last one and you feel like you have never skipped a beat. I listen to this one over and over. #Audible1

Beka goes a hunting
As the second book in this series, we get to see Beka more as she is as a person and as she is without so many people watching over her. There are trials and tribulations sure, but she manages quite well without much help from others. This is also one of the first times we see Beka in a romantic way and being a typical teenage girl. It's really amusing to see her navigate romance while in the middle of a tricky hunt. As per usual with Tamora Pierce, we see Beka develop more into a strong, confident woman and beat the bad guys at their own game.

great sequel
I loved the book! Tamora Pierce is one of my favorite authors, and this book is a fabulous example of her work. The book continues the story of Beka Cooper that was started in Terrier.
Beka's personality clearly comes out early in the book when she discusses her troubles finding a new Dog partner. Listening to Beka's troubles dealing with her first serious relationship, with a man that she's lying to and using to find counterfeiters, is entertaining and touching when she struggles to deal with the relationship ending. I'm eagerly awaiting the third book, Mastiff, to read and listen to!

Technical difficulties
This is a five-star story but the technical glitches in the recording prevent me from giving it full marks. As of this review Audible is working on fixing the glitches in the recording. Be aware there is currently some content missing from this story.

Worth it -if you liked the first
I think I enjoyed this one mostly because I loved the first Beka Cooper. It wasn't quite as good, it spent a lot of time on her having a sexual affair (not explicit at least) which was not necessary to the story. However, it was a nice long listen (I like to get some good hours for the credit) and I would probably be willing to hear another. But if there is another, I hope some of the original and independent spunk is put back into the character.

Ended up loving this book 2
I'm not sure why I had a bit of difficulty getting into Bloodhound when I absolutely loved book one. but once I was in a few chapters, I devoured this story! I love Becca. she is not some way overpowered character, so her triumphs are all the more satisfying. Especially since she could not rely on Pounce to guide or rescue her. I loved the addition of Achoo, the scent dog, and I was saddened when one of Becca's little family was killed. This was an excellent second in this series. All the characters are growing, aging, improving, or else deliberately chosing to stay fixed in their misguided thinking to their own detrement.

Favorite Author
Tamara Pierce writes some of the best novels I've ever read. They are thrilling and have mystery and don't always go the way you'd expect and they are amazing.

it was pretty good.
I'm a big Tamora Pierce fan since I was a kid. these Becca Cooper books are not my favorite though. I think it might be the first person narrative, journal story telling, but I'm not sure. while the story was good I found the book lagged and I didn't necessarily feel an attachment to the characters. I will read/listen to third in series eventually but I think I need a little break from Becca Cooper.
