Publisher's Summary

Chaos is descending on the City of Ancients.

The Twilight Ascent is coming to a boil. The Eveningtide Asura's plans are nearing fruition, while powerful factions try to block his ascent. The survival of Twilight Harbor and its citizens depends on who's victorious. Zac finds himself tied to the asura's chariot, but that's only one of his problems.

Uona Noz'Valadir has stolen the Splinter of Oblivion, leaving Zac with a ticking time bomb of Creation in his body. A trap has been set within the City of Ancients, but Zac has no choice but to enter the belly of the beast.

A final battle awaits, and Zac is determined to show everyone the price of meddling with his path.

Great book I’d love to see it as a movie

The suspense is killer, and the world building is awesome. I could not help myself from recommending this book

Slow start, but strong end

The start is a little slow and overall the storyline advance little for the length of the book. I prefer long length, but you gotta feed me some storyline that goes with it! performance was as expected after the previous books.

More please...and quickly

Judging by the pace of the books and Zachs endgame goals, we've still got a long way to go.

And im fine with that.

I love this books series, and i hope we reach the point where Zach can scoff at all his challenges. I miss his interactions with his sister and Ogras. I personally want him to be a big mover in the universe and not some unwiting brute causing change by accident.. i know well get there eventually, but i was waiting for some MASSIVE change in this book, and it never really came.

But theyll come in time. Till then youll have books like this one. GOOD. But nothing we havent gotten already

Why can we never have a good ending for an arc

Every single time an arc ends, we consistently jump into another arc immediately. It is so frustrating! You make an epic build-up only to start something new without a good payoff. This happened during the war against the zombies, where Zac ends up going to the eternal tower, which was a complete deviation, only to finally complete and get into a fight directly against the Lich King. He finally wins, then we have the church and the mystic empire. Even the mystic kingdom ending was anti-climatic because everyone ended up dying or lost with a time skip. I can't believe there was no payoff for the Twilight event, as he immediately gets into Oram. Can we please not keep rushing into new worlds before but enjoy the aftermath of those events? I was so excited about the aftermath of Zac winning the Twilight and eternal tower, but sadly we just jumped into the next without it mattering. I keep skipping stories regarding the Oram, only to now have Iz enter as soon as he finally left. Like, why, come on! I want to know what happens with Catheya Sharva, the war on Earth, Kenzie, Ogras. Let him interact with characters you have built and reunite on Earth. I am not interested in constantly seeing new worlds and characters without resolving the older storylines. I love this series, but these the constant rushing, constant secrets between characters an lack of interaction between amazing characters keep annoying me because it keeps happening.
