Zach is back. Life has been good since they dispatched a rabid, alpha wolf, tricked into dark power.

There's a lot to like about this book if you liked the first. Zack's relationship with the women we've already met is explored, and he meets more women who might join his harem eventually. Zack continues to hide his nature while learning more about it, including tantalizing new details. All of that is great! What is less great is the continuing trend of every bad guy being craven and annoying. There's a huge lack of any strong men in this book so far! Zack is also embracing his draconic heritage by becoming aggressive and arrogant, which is a rather steep shift from book one that makes him a lot less likeable and makes the inevitable humbling of his powerful enemies feel a lot less fun. Don't get me wrong - it's still a pleasant read, and one well voiced by the duet readers - just one I can feel myself getting tired of.

but this book is so much yes. more adventure more chaos more of Zach learning who he is what he is how strong he is. and being able to bag two the hottest girls this side of the River Styx. now he's gone and gotten even deeper into the paranormal world he's introduced to so many new people.

these two voice actors are very very good at what they do. the range that Jack can do is quite amazing and I'm biased with Jessica because anything and everything that she voice acts that runs in or around this specific style of book I tend to gobble up

Only on the 2nd book of the series so far, but by far the best series I’ve listened to. And the narrators are amazing.

Keeps you on your toes , none stop and only 9 books , I wish there was more or a follow-up series, still feel there's more
