Publisher's Summary

It’s time to stop procrastinating and get more of the important things done! After all, successful people don’t try to do everything. They focus on their most important tasks and get those done. They eat their frogs.

There’s an old saying that if the first thing you do each morning is eat a live frog, you’ll have the satisfaction of knowing you’re done with the worst thing you’ll have to do all day. For Tracy, eating a frog is a metaphor for tackling your most challenging task - but also the one that can have the greatest positive impact on your life.

Eat That Frog! shows you how to organize each day so you can zero in on these critical tasks and accomplish them efficiently and effectively. The core of what is vital to effective time management is: decision, discipline, and determination. And in this fully revised and updated edition, Tracy adds two new chapters. The first explains how you can use technology to remind yourself of what is most important and protect yourself from what is least important. The second offers advice for maintaining focus in our era of constant distractions, electronic and otherwise.

This life-changing book will ensure that you get more of your important tasks done today.

Meh

Was it a waste of time to listen to? No….but I didn’t really learn much. The tips are common sense. I know I have to be organized, just do it, plan, set goals etc. but HOW? I think procrastinating runs deeper than just deciding to not procrastinate. Basically this book tells you to stop procrastinating and just get stuff done. I think most people
Know that. I was hoping to hear more of how to go about it aside from setting goals and breaking down tasks. Would not recommend

Great book!

The book was amazing! When it played there seemed to be some minor glitches in the audio which delayed the narrator’s speech slightly at times. Thats why I rated 4 for performance. Other than that the content is fantastic!

Good methods

I rather enjoyed this once I got used to the author's manner of speaking. (I found it annoying at first but it got better enough so I could listen. He is much better in other books). Breaking down what you need to do and how to approach things was good information as I tend to feel overwhelmed by huge projects that come up in my life.

The chapters are short and effective and the exercises at the end of each chapter help you to think differently about your day, structure your day in a productive way, and the work efficiently without burnout. Good tactics, but reader is too soothing

I'll use many of the tactics presented. The book is short enough that I'll listen again in the future after making habits of a handful. I also bought the workbook supplement. the reader was way too mellow for my liking. it can put you to sleep. I would have liked a more enthusiastically and motivational reader.

A condensed version of Tracy's better works.

EAT THAT FROG was a good audio filled with great principles for achievement and Self-discipline and Motivation but it once again is a summary of his better audiobooks such as NO EXCUSES: THE POWER OF SELF DISCIPLINE and THE ULTIMATE GOALS PROGRAM, two works which indeed are 5 Star Classics. This audiobook is a great introduction to the more advanced, in-depth audiobooks of Brian Tracy, especially for someone who never listened to him before. And EAT THAT FROG is great for us Brian Tracy fans who might not have 6, 7, 8 or 13 hours to listen to his Classic unabridged material like THE UNIVERSAL LAWS OF SUCCESS AND ACHIEVEMENT or MAXIMUM ACHIEVEMENT. Therefore, this audiobook is great if you need to learn something useful and profound and necessary while going to sleep or cleaning the house/apt. or while on a long drive, etc. As the saying goes "An idle mind is the Devil's Workshop" so "Selah" and constantly listen to this relatively brief yet very good audio recording of Brian Tracy!

Hard Pass

Struggled to get through. Person reading did not have a pleasant voice to listen to but worse of all was that this was just a regurgitation of all the one liners they've ever heard about being more productive or goal oriented. It lacked depth and I did not enjoy it. I'd listen to a Napoleon Hill book, which they reference a lot.

The 2nd edition is better.

This version has less passion and lacks the emphasis is some areas compared to the second edition. Unfortunately that better version isn't available on Audible at this time. The information is great, but the delivery of the information also matters.
