I am enjoying this series so far.
This is my first introduction to this series. It took me few chapters before I got the gist of the complicated political society and its denizens. So far, the Drizzt storyline is really enjoyable and he is a very likable character.
I found it helpful to look up on line some maps and art to visualize the dark elves, their home and other characters I listened to the story a second time and found it just as enjoyable. I picked up on details that I had missed on the first listen.

fantastic narration, amazing dnd story.
If you are a fan of Forgotten Realms, you will love all the references to lore bits and stories and monsters, interwoven with a classic hero's origin.

I had originally returned
I had originally returned this book about a year ago, I had made it about four chapters in and was not impressed then I had a friend convince me to give it another try and ohboy was I wrong to return this book, as you get farther into the story you realize what the plot actually is and it so good. The MC is quite good, plot is great, world building is fantastic it makes you feel like your actually in the world. Don’t make the mistake I made when I didn’t give this story a chance, you won’t regret it
