A must read for someone with anxiety!

I would highly recommend this book to anyone with anxiety/social anxiety. This book was such an eye opener and It made me realize that being too nice and putting others needs first for the sake of not wanting to upset people was a huge contributor to my anxiety. Written and narrated by the author, very easy and entertaining to listen to. Dr. Aziz is truly an inspiration as he speaks first hand of his personal experiences of having social anxiety and years of being too nice.

UMM NO

So I was obsessed with this book up until the last 4 hours of it. It taught me things and opened my eyes on Many aspects up UNTIL author's story about a friend and his conversation with him. ALL I CAN SAY this guy is a JERK (Author). did u see his wife? check her out..no wonder nobody wanted a relationship with him.
He only cares about himself, his whole life ppl were signaling him that, but he decided to step up and come up with this book to justify his JERKNESS. I say NO TO THIS book. TRASH.."NOT FOR EVERYBODY" like he says himself. ABSOLUTELY..

An overall eye-opening experience

This isn't my first self-help book but it is my first audio book. The author is fun to listen to and the advice and information is easily digestible while also penetrating through the "nice person's" mindset. Definitely recommend.

Excellent!

Dr Gazipura did a Stellar job to this subject matter. His honesty about his own struggle gives hope. He was very thorough, the detailed examples given made the content easy to understand. This book is highly recommended for anyone who wants to understand the damage being nice is causing in their lives.
length book but I don't mind that at all. very resourceful.

Every “nice” person MUST READ THIS BOOK!

I’ve already recommended this book to every “nice” person I know. It is by far the best audiobook I have ever listened to and has completely transformed my perspective and mindset just by listening to it. I love that the author narrated it himself. It makes it so much more engaging to hear the author’s tone and how he intended it to be read. This book totally read my mind and knew all my thoughts and fears! Don’t skip the activities!! Make the lists. They are important later!

Some effective strategies but problematic advice

Too long. A lot of editing would have helped. Showed lack of insight into effect of rudeness or give and take in relationships.

Great book

This book is the best book i've read so far about confidence . The tips and exercises of Dr Aziz actually gave me the courage to write this review (loll)) . The book is easy to listen . The exercises are great . The narrative is interesting and the life examples are well choosen . I particularly love the transparency of Dr Aziz . I recommended this book to those who are just starting their self esteem journey and also to those who have been doing it for a few years now ...new tips and reminders are always good .

Amazing book. I'm glad I discovered it.

I love how Dr. Aziz elaborates on the topic so you understand it and gives you ton of examples of how it can be done. Through many examples he gives I found other ways of handling things with out feeling anxious or guilty. Saying No and being not nice is possible with out damaging relationship which was my fear for so long. Now I see how it can improve relationships by being more authentic real, human, and have something to add instead of just agreeing out of fear of being left alone if you disagree or offend others.
Thank you Dr Aziz for the amazing contribution to people's lives and changing it for better!

Great advice

Both my husband and I have read it and it was very helpful. We related to it on so many levels and have had discussion about this topic. I have already noticed a difference it is making in how I impose my boundaries and fulfill my needs. I wish I had this book 20 years ago.

Very helpful / 5 hours too long though

Changed my approach to assertiveness and people pleasing. Helped me a great deal. The last 5 hours can be totally cut. I want to get Azusa other books but have trepidation to once again do 16-18 hours when the main point is fully resolved in the first 10
