Publisher's Summary
Micah is retired from the US Marshal's. He is enjoying his time with his family on his ranch. Little does his family know, he is suffering from cancer. He has told no one, as he does not want anyone to worry, or worse yet, make him bed ridden.
He gets a telegram from his doctor up at Ft. Smith. When Micah gets to the doctor's office, he finds out his doctor did not send for him.
He high tails it back to his ranch and learns his granddaughter has been kidnapped.
