Story
I never believed in the whole “light at the end of the tunnel” folly where people, after having a near-death experience, would startle awake in a cold sweat exclaiming, “I saw the light!” But there I was, in this so-called “tunnel” facing a glaring light, when the last thing I remembered was sleeping in my room - the royal bed-chamber, as others called it. Had I died? If so, how? King Grey once benefited from unrivaled strength, wealth, and prestige in a world governed by martial ability but now finds himself reborn in a society dominated by magic.

Fight, survive, adapt, and rely only on yourself. That is Derek’s creed and what's got him through the System Integration on Earth. Everything changed when the System came. Cute bunnies and beautiful butterflies became savage killing machines. Then the Invaders arrived with a single goal: to obtain ownership of this new habitable planet. War has raged ever since. None of this mattered much to Derek, aside from making living a little more perilous.

Publisher's Summary
No matter how powerful you become, it’s hard to let go of the fear that grows in you when you’re weak. It grows along with you.
Arthur Leywin may have survived the Relictombs, but he immediately finds himself embroiled in something far more complex and dangerous: Alacryan politics.
Accused of crimes he didn’t commit, Arthur is forced to defend himself without drawing the attention of his most powerful enemies.
He quickly discovers that the best place to hide may be in plain sight as he continues his quest for the power to control Fate itself. It is a race against time, however, as the greatest threat of the war so far closes in on Arthur’s loved ones in Dicathen. Without him, they are defenseless, but if he returns too soon, all hope is truly lost.

these books changed how I read
I started of reading the webtoon and decided that I wanted to see if there was a Manga to read and I came across the light novel. The emotion and structured of the series encouraged me to go and find other series to read and this is still up there as one if my favorite, the narration helped convey the feelings and struggles of all the characters and it is very well preformed thank you.

Yet another masterpiece
Turtleme continues to amaze me with how he can keep me on my feet pacing while listening to this series. I found myself counting the seconds at work as I imagined how the next few chapters would play out. This chapter was the one that tested my patience and finally made me want to start reading the light novel.

Stopping the series here
I didn't like book 7, but book 8 gave me some fresh hope, and I ended up quite liking book 9. Overall really enjoyable, Travis is fantastic as always.
But before I jumped into purchasing book 10, I saw the reviews for it. Particularly the comments regarding the narration. After sampling book 10, I can confidently say that I'm not interested in a change of narrator. 9 books that I've come to associate particular voices with characters. If the female voices were exchanged out in favor of a female narrator, I still wouldn't like that as the voices would still be different, but I could handle that. She seems like a potentially good enough narrator anyways. But the rest of the narration and male characters, hard no. She cannot pull off masculine voices anywhere comparable to how well Travis pulls off feminine voices.
So another book series ended due to narration changes. Unfortunate.

Man this was GREAT
Probably the best book of the series. Very emotional end too. I don't know what to do with my free time now that I have to wait for the next book to be read. I hope that the physical books really are a thing.
