Publisher's Summary

"I'm not your savior."

I didn't want to be worshiped like some deity—an instant replacement for the asuras. For so long, these people looked up to the asuras as gods, but the asuras kept trying to kill them.

Arthur Leywin has finally returned to the continent of Dicathen, but his home is still firmly in the hands of the enemy. His display of unprecedented power brings hope to his allies and fear to his enemies. It also deeply embroils him in a conflict between the godlike asuras, with Agrona Vritra on one side and Kezess Indrath on the other.

With the crimes of his past life haunting him in the form of the Legacy, Arthur can no longer afford to hone only his strength. He must also empower those closest to him or risk losing them all.

Good

Good story as usual, but did not like the second narrator’s performance as much as Travis

Another good book

Travis as always I great but the new narrator isn't very good at doing male voices kinda like a bad ai. makes it a bit hard to get through those chapters.

Absolutely love this series.

I absolutely love this story and can't wait until the next book. As always Travis baldree is an amazing narrator, unfortunately I had a hard time listening to the new narrator as I really dislike the higher pitched breathy and whispery voice. I just sometimes had to grit my teeth a bit, there is not much difference from one characters voice to another.... I am going to have to skip over a bit of her talking unfortunately because it's slightly irritating. but like I said I love this series.

Female narrator inconsistent.

Story was great as always. The male narrator did a terrific job but my listening experience kept being ruined by the female narrator. She made no effort to imitate the character voices the male half was doing and the most annoying part was her inability to reliably do her different character voices. I'll acknowledge she has potential as a narrator and her normal voice narration is pleasant to listen to but in my mind she really missed the mark on this book.

Another work of art!

Didn’t like the other voice actor sounded like some cheap AI, I guess I just need some getting use to but nonetheless the story and Travis’s performance is unrivaled.

A great addition to the series

The previous book was actually my favorite. The sudden change going into the relic tombs felt like it was an unexpected writing change to something that I felt was becoming formulaic. I very much hoped this book would explore the relic tombs more and this book did not disappoint. At the first the new voice actor was unexpected but she was there to better represent female characters and it grew on me. As always the story was excellent and engaging.

Why change a great product

Great continuation of the series, but not my favourite. I don’t like to be negative but I really disliked having two narrators hopefully it won’t be like that next book.

Horrible Voice Actor Addition

They decided to put a new author in the book and I think it was the worst idea possible, at first I thought i even ordered the wrong book because there is literally NINE BOOKS before this that have just 1 AMAZING voice actor Travis Baldree, the second female voice actor Elizabeth Evans is not bad I guess just not fit for this story, especially this late into the book. First of all going in between voice actors is jarring as their microphone quality just isn't the same Travis Baldree's voice sounds deep and like theres no noise in the room, like it captures his actual voice, while you can clearly tell Elizabeth Evans is from a poor mic, Second Elle and others has been perfectly voiced before so hearing it as a new British girl sounds odd when they are supposed to be from the same family but dont have the same accent as Arthur, its even worse when she tries to voice male characters like Arthurs and one time Arthur goes from a deep sounding male to a child in his teens. If you've ever played It takes two and heard the wife Rose before, it sounds exactly like her. I definitely enjoy this one less than every previous one before because of how painful it feels to just go through when Elizabeth Evans parts. Don't know who decides these choices whether its amazon or Travis Baldree himself but I hope they don't bring her back for book 11,

This is the only book I've ever listened to on Audible and I don't know if anything they put out is final but if a version comes out with Travis Baldree only this could easily be a 5/5
